Dutch director Ivo van Hove is directing a stage version of Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage in a new English version by Emily Mann. Scenes from a Marriage is a prismatic exploration of a couple’s relationship including a marriage. Ivo van Hove’s production invites the audience into this relationship through the lens of three sets of actors who portray Johan and Marianne at different ages.
