Breakdown
Sierra Repertory Theatre is accepting pictures/resumes for the following roles in SANDERS FAMILY CHRISTMAS.
BURL: Father, strong patriarch, and proud of his family, age range 35-45. Sings Bass. Able to sing and play bluegrass/folk/gospel/musical theatre styles. Must play string instruments such as guitar, mandolin, ukelele, etc.
STANLEY SANDERS: Burl's handsome brother, formerly served hard labor time and most recently returned from a role in a Hollywood western, age range 25-35. Sings Baritone. Able to sing and play bluegrass/folk/gospel/musical theatre styles. Must play string instruments such as guitar, mandolin, ukelele, etc.
In this show, the actors ARE the band. Instruments that need to be covered are guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, percussion, bass and harmonica. While every actor MUST be able to play an instrument, the director is flexible as to WHO plays WHAT, depending on individual skills.
