[ABASIAMA EKPEYONG] – She/Her, Black, early 20s, Nigerian. Privileged. A paragon of Nigerian femininity. 8 months pregnant. She takes everything seriously. Kind, strong, patient, but can only put up with so much. Ibibio accent.
[MOXIE WILLIS] – She/Her, Black, early 20s, very American. Far younger in age than attitude might belie. Frayed from the harsh realities of street life. Brash, quick-witted and hard-edged. Massachusetts born and Southern bred. East Texan accent.
[UKPONG EKPEYONG] – He/Him, Black, mid 20s, Nigerian. Privileged. High on life and America. Incredibly handsome, a man-child with effortless and magnetic charisma, he takes nothing seriously. Ibibio accent.

[“ACTOR 4] Any gender, A tenor (G2 - A4). Early/Mid 20s. Jewish. Doubles as various characters including MIMI MARLEY: an entitled internet celebrity, powerful, she’s everything Chava aspires to be, and more, earnestly and unsatirically a woman, she struts around in high platform boots, and even higher status — though she is larger than life, she is not meant to be a cartoon; HARRY: Barb’s younger brother, youthful and caring, FUTURE SCHMUCKHEAD, etc...

[HEIDI] – She/Her, late 40s, of German heritage. Based on playwright Heidi Schreck; a brilliant former debate champion who traveled the country in her teens giving speeches about the Constitution at American Legion halls. An incredible story teller, passionate, engaging, dynamic, smart, and witty. This story means everything to her. Alternates from adulthood to her awkward pubescent 15-year-old self throughout the play.
[MIKE] – He/Him, 40s, any ethnicity. An American Legionnaire monitoring the speech and debate, a stickler for the rules/law. Later, Heidi’s ally and assistant, queer, sweet, reflective and genuine.

[SHAWN] – He/Him, Black, (ages 21, 27, 31 and 33). Confident in himself but reserved. A hard-core basketball fan and a writer. Quietly ambitious, smart, thoughtful, thinks before he talks, he has strong opinions.
