Bingham: 40-50s is a sophisticated man with a huge drive to succeed in the status game at the club. He is charming, edgy, silly and ultimately lovable. Think Frasier Crane. Must be very physically alive and great with the demands of high energy farce.
Pamela: 39-45 is a beautiful, charming, elegant woman still reeling from her awful ex and dreadful divorce. She is excitable and gifted with a quick dry wit. Must be very physically comfortable and prepared to handle the physical and vocal needs of farce.
Louise: young 20s, flirty, oblivious and temperamental. She can shift on a dime. Physically agile and comfortable with kissing and fooling around that is indicated in the script. She and Justin make a perfect couple. Swings a golf club well.
Justin: young 20s. Sexy, flirty, oblivious and. deeply, deeply insecure. Fearless comedian. Must be physically comfortable with kissing and flirting. Swings a golf club.
Dickie: 40-50s, a classic clown. Oafish, boorish, poorly educated but has no self-awareness at all. All body types are welcome. A good old fashioned comic vaudevillian.

[MARIA CALLAS] late 40s-Early 60s, opera-diva, American born to Greek parents...teaching a master class. Looking for star names for this role. Salary negotiable.
[SHARON] 20s, Opera-Soprano, BIPOC preferred but considering all. A very talented strong woman...also cries, but then lashes back.
[SOPHIE] 20s, Opera-Soprano. Should be somewhat of a wallflower and nervous. Callas does not let her get through her song once.
[STAGEHAND] 30s-40s, uninterested in his work. Just doing his job.
[MANNY, EMMANUEL WEINSTOCK] the accompanist. 20s-30s, Plays the piano extremely well. Respects Callas very much. Whoever is cast as Manny will also act as the Music Director. Seeking people with that kind of experience.
[TONY, ANTHONY CANDOLINO] Opera-Tenor, 20s, should be good-looking leading man type. Very well praised by Callas.

DON LOCKWOOD: (mid 20s-late 30s) star of the silent screen. Charismatic and open, star quality. Strong singer and dancer. A strong tapper should also have ballet technique. Baritenor voice to an F#.
COSMO BROWN: (mid 20s-late 30s) a clown sidekick to Don. Slapstick his specialty. Self-effacing and appealing. Down to earth. Strong singer, comedian, dancer. A strong tapper. Sings well. Tenor to an A flat.
KATHY SELDEN: (early to late 20s) New girl in town. Appealing—has ambitions to be a great stage actor but has singing and dancing chops. A natural for the talkies. A strong tapper. Mezzo with mixed belt to C and legit to E.
LINA LAMONT: (Late 20s-late 30s) a true glamorous star of the silent films. Photogenic. Incredibly self involved and can be vindictive. As dense as she is beautiful and yes, a voice that does not match her beauty. Chest voice with a strong mix.
R.F. SIMPSON: (50s-mid 60s) studio head with a strong public persona but not a lot of dimension. Always, understandably, has the studio’s best interest in mind.
ROSCO DEXTER: (mid 40s–mid 50s) quirky and comedic film director. A character. Struggles to transition to talkies. Non singing role.
