SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Peninsula Players' 2025 Season (See breakdown). Peninsula Players Theatre celebrates equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion. Audition for the role you want. Whatever your ethnicity, race, gender identity, body type -- all are welcome and will be considered.
An accompanist will only be provided on Friday, 12/13.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short, contemporary monologue appropriate to our season. If auditioning for LITTLE WOMEN, please also prepare a brief cut of a song. An accompanist will be provided ONLY on Friday, 12/13. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

SEEKING:

Cori Bratter - (20s-30s) A free-spirited, energetic young woman who is deeply in love with her husband. She is optimistic, adventurous, and often acts on impulse.
Paul Bratter - (20s-30s) A more reserved and practical individual, contrasting Corie's spontaneity. He is a lawyer who takes his job seriously and often finds himself caught between his wife's desires for excitement and his own need for stability.
Ethel Banks - (50s-60s) Corie's widowed mother. She lives a quiet life in New Jersey and is more conservative and traditional than Corie. She is a worrier and very vocal about her many ailments but loves deeply.
Victor Velasco - (50s-60s) Victor is the eccentric neighbor. He is a charming and flamboyant character who enjoys spontaneity and extravagance. Doubles as Delivery Man.
Harry Pepper - (any age) Telephone repairman. Friendly and down-to-earth.

MISERY

SEEKING:

Annie Wilkes - (40s-60s) A nurse who comes to Paul's rescue. Seems to be a kind, caring, sweet and awkward woman who cares deeply for Paul, even if something seems slightly off. It becomes clear that Annie is manipulative, cunning and hides a terrifying malice behind her cheery and simple facade.
Paul Sheldon - (late 30s-early 60s) A famed novelist. Has been in a terrible car crash that leaves him with broken legs and ribs and unable to care for himself. He is charming and a touch arrogant. He quickly realizes the danger of his situation and cleverly uses everything at his disposal to survive.
Buster - (any age) The friendly sheriff of a nearby town searching for Paul.

LITTLE WOMEN (musical)

SEEKING:

Jo March - mezzo-soprano (18-23) A passionate and determined young author, struggling to find her place in the world. Independent, fiery, brave - also nurturing and loving.
Marmee March - mezzo-soprano (40s-50s) The girls’ mother. She is the backbone of the family, who is courageous in spite of the difficult odds she faces. Doubles as Hag.
Beth March - soprano (17-21) Beth helps her sisters selflessly and encourages them to dream. Peace-maker, optimist, timid and musical. Doubles as Rodrigo II.
Meg March - soprano (21-25) The eldest and most traditional of the sisters who yearns for a great life. Romantic and sweet-natured. Doubles as Clarissa.
Amy March - soprano (14-18) The youngest, most energetic sister who yearns for a sophisticated life. She is used to getting her own way. Doubles as Troll.
Professor Bhaer - baritone (35-45) Professor who exemplifies proper manners. Spars with and eventually falls in love with Jo.
Theodore “Laurie” Laurence - tenor (plays 18-23) Charming boy next door who becomes friends with the March family. He loves Jo but later falls in love with Amy. Doubles as Rodrigo.
Aunt March - mezzo-soprano (45-60) A formidable, over-bearing great aunt to the March sisters. The wealthy socialite. Doubles as Mrs. Kirk, Irish owner of the boarding house.
John Brooke - baritone (30s) Laurie’s tutor. A reserved and hard-working young man who only shows his tender side when he falls in love with Meg. Doubles as Sir Prendergast.
Mr. Laurence - baritone - Laurie’s grandfather. A stiff and stern elderly man who eventually shows his softer side. Doubles as The Knight.

DEAR JACK, DEAR LOUISE

Jack - (early 30s) An army doctor. He is initially reserved and shy but gradually opens up to be a charming young man with a good heart.
Louise - (late 20s - early 30s) An aspiring actress and dancer who lives in NY. She is sweet and incredibly outgoing with a zest for life.

STEEL MAGNOLIAS

Setting: Louisiana, 1980s

SEEKING:

Truvy - (35-50) Owns the beauty shop and loves her work. She is a gossip, but never a mean or vindictive one. Vivacious, kind, caring, resilient.
Shelby - (20s) Charming and cheerful, but also strong willed and passionate. She is a free spirit who speaks her mind. Type I diabetic whose health is compromised by having a baby.
M’ Lynn - (40s-50s) Shelby’s mother. A smart, concerned and kind woman who can be strong and stubborn. Always knows what’s right, which causes clashes with Shelby.
Annelle - (18-early 20s) Newly hired assistant. Moves from shy, insecure, anxious to finding confidence, maturity, and ultimately becomes enthusiastically religious.
Clairee - (50s-60s) Grand dame who has recently lost her husband, the former Mayor. Elegant, sophisticated, sarcastic and funny.
Ouiser - (50s-70s) Wealthy, eccentric curmudgeon. She has a sharp tongue and can be severe - is acerbic but ultimately lovable.
