Bring 3 (three) headshots & resumes.

Please prepare 2 brief, contrasting musical theatre selections, in a similar style to the shows. One must be a Sondheim piece. Please bring sheet music ready and marked for accompanist

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (concert version)

Seeking: 5 men, 8 women for concert presentation

FREDRICK EGERMAN:
Male, to play 35-50 yrs old, Range: Baritone, A2 - E4. Middle-aged lawyer, disillusioned with his current marriage, trying to recapture his youthful passions with an old flame (Desiree)

ANNE EGERMAN:
Female, to play 18-21 yrs old, Range: Soprano, G#3 - Ab5. Fredrick’s gorgeous child bride - giddy and naïve.

HENRIK EGERMAN:
Male, to play 18-22 yrs old, Range: Tenor, G3 - B4. Fredrick's gloomy son. He is a serious but confused divinity student with raging hormones.

DESIREE ARMFELDT:
Female, to play 35-50 yrs old, Range: Mezzo-Soprano F#3 - Ab5. A self-possessed, once-successful actress now touring the countryside. She becomes entangled in a love triangle with the Count, her current lover and Fredrick, her former lover.

FREDRIKA ARMFELDT:
Female, looking for 18+ to play 12-15 yrs old, Range: Alto, C4 - Eb5. Desiree's witty daughter who is self-contained and formal with the precise diction of the convent-trained.

COUNT CARL-MAGNUS MALCOLM:
Male, to play 35-50 yrs old. Range: Baritone, G3 - F#4. Swaggering, egomaniacal military dragoon (Desiree's newest lover).

COUNTESS CHARLOTTE MALCOLM:
Female, to play 30-45yrs old, Range: Mezzo-Soprano, G3 - F5. The Count’s long-suffering wife - humorously acerbic, she handles her predicament with grace and wit.

PETRA:
Female, to play 20-30 yrs old, Range: Mezzo, F#3 - F5. Anne's maid and closest confidante. Flirtatious and earthy, she seizes every moment life has to offer before it passes by.

ENSEMBLE: THE LIEBESLIEDER SINGERS
2 men, 3 women, to play any age. These five serve as “Greek Chorus” throughout the show as well as doubling in smaller roles. All must sing AND move well.

(Role CAST) Female, to play 70-85 yrs old, Range: Alto, C3 - F#4. Desiree's elderly mother; brutally honest and a veteran of discreet encounters.

NOAH:
Male, to play late 20’s. Baritone. The self- proclaimed cynic of the family. Feels responsible for both the ranch and the people on it. Fiercely loyal to his family and to Lizzie in particular.

JIMMY:
Male, to play early 20’s. High Baritone. Must be able to move well. Physically tall and athletic. Fun loving, non-intellectual. Searching for his place and his sense of maturity.

STARBUCK:
Male, to play mid 30’s. High Baritone. Physically imposing possessing innate sexuality. A true natural salesman capable of bringing everyone to his side. Internally lacking confidence and security.

SNOOKIE:
Female, looking for 18+ to play late teens to early 30’s. Alto/Belter. Dancer. Beautiful and flirtatious. The “it” girl of the town.

FEMALE CHORUS: 20’s. Soprano. Dancer/Singer

FEMALE CHORUS: 20’s. Alto. Dancer/Singer

MALE CHORUS: 30’s. Baritone. Must move well. Character Actor

MALE CHORUS: 20’s. Tenor. Dancer/Singer

MALE CHORUS: 20’s. Bass. Dancer/Singer

The following roles have been cast. Auditioners will be considered as a possible replacements for:

LIZZY:
(Role CAST) Female, to play late 20’s. Soprano. A consummate blend between eternal dreamer and tangible realist. Strong, direct, and empathetic. Must be equally proficient actress as singer.

HC:
(Role CAST) Male, to play late 50’s/early 60’s. Baritone. Gift for seeing the core of another individual. Loves life and enjoys it to its fullest.

FILE:
(Role CAST) Male, to play mid 30’s. Baritone. Damaged from past experience. Outward appearance of wit, masking a closed and cut off sensibility. Desperately wanting to change without the tools to do so.
