MONTY NAVARRO (age 20s - 30s) Any Ethnicity. Clever and charismatic, vulnerable and endearing, with a highly developed appreciation for life’s ironies. Discovers he is in line to become the Earl of Highurst, and sets out to kill off the family that stands in his way. Must have a winning charm that would garner anybody’s trust. A2-A4
SIBELLA (age 20s - 30s) Any Ethnicity. A flirtatious, narcissistic, willful, girl that Monty loves- calculating and irresistible. A social climber but also truly loves Monty, and in the end would do anything to protect him. Tremendous wit and high style. F#3-A5
PHOEBE (age 20s - 30s) Any Ethnicity. Virtuous, forthright, romantic, comically earnest, but with a backbone of steel. Not your typical ingenue, she has a sense of irony and humor in addition to a youthful innocence behind her sophistication. B3 to C#6 (option to Eb6)
ENSEMBLE (age and gender fluid) Any Ethnicity. Character actors to play a multitude or roles. strong singing skills required.
Lauren Blair - Director/Choreographer
DAWN (age 20s) Any Ethnicity. A waitress at Joe’s Diner. She is charming, kind, and socially awkward- loves her world in perfect order. She has a small touch of OCD and continually rearranges the tables at the diner. She spends her evenings with her TV dinners and her cat. G3-E5
BECKY (age 40s - 50s) African American. A waitress at Joe’s Diner. She is saucy, hot-tempered, been there, made it back, and somehow kept her sense of humor. Honest and loyal to her gals at the diner and tells them how it is. Eb3-E5
DR. POMATTER (age 30s - 40s) Any Ethnicity. Jenna’s gynecologist turned lover. He is endearing, genuine, clumsy in manner, a bit neurotic, and has sweaty palms. He has a quirky sense of humor and a big heart. Loves desserts and speaks before he thinks. Bb4- Bb2
CHAD (age 30s - 40s) Any Ethnicity. A caterer at the casino who was previously engaged to Marianne. Winning personality and pretends to be a player, but is still really heartbroken over the loss of his first love. B2-B4
MARIANNE (age 30s) Any Ethnicity. Focused journalist and ex-fiancé of Chad. She left him to pursue her career. Insecure underneath it all. B3-F#5
SHIRLEY (age 50s - 60s) Any Ethnicity. A visitor at the casino, lovable and jolly. Traveling with her beloved husband Murray. A3-B4
LENORA VERONA (age 30s - 40s) Any Ethnicity. A flamboyant and glamorous faded disco diva. Pushy and sassy but in love with her sweet dog. B3-E5
Alex Boyles - Director
MARCUS (age and gender fluid) Any Ethnicity. An ambitious officer. Doubles other characters including a grizzled boss, and a former lover. NOTE: Piano playing is a must.
THE SUSPECTS (age and gender fluid) Any Ethnicity. Doubles multiple characters, including an overeager grad student, a loopy widow, a friendly psychiatrist, and a self-incriminating ballerina. NOTE: Piano playing is a must.
