Breakdown
Seeking 2 Male Actors for the following roles in HEAD OVER HEELS (Musical) and THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (performed in Repertory)
Basilius:
40--mid-50s. An effortless Alpha male. Very fit and hormonally-led. He can be a rogue-ish hellion and tender Prince Charming simultaneously. Will be highly featured in dance work so strength and agility are important. Also plays Fernand in The Count of Monte Cristo. Devious, authoritative, gains his fortune as the Count of Morceff through treachery. Vocal range: high tenor, but can be adapted to suit the actor.
Musidorus:
20s . He’s a shepherd. Simple, masculine, rustic, really attractive (but unaware of how attractive he is) naïve, down-to earth, earnest. A guy’s guy. Funny without trying too hard. Will be highly featured in dance work so strength and agility are important. Also plays Albert in The Count of Monte Cristo. Thinks he is Fernand’s son. Has courage and integrity. Vocal range: high tenor, but can be adapted to suit the actor.
