BREAKDOWN
All actors will double as ensemble. All must be able to dance, or move extremely well. All characters are of Caribbean descent.
Ti Moune - (F) 16-25. A peasant girl who has been adopted, she is a dark-skinned island girl with much curiosity and energy. Earnest and romantic about all creatures. Falls tragically in love with Daniel. Vocal range G3-E5.
Little Ti Moune - (F) 6-11 yrs old. Ti Moune as a little girl.
Papa Ge - (M) The Demon of Death. He is proud and sly. His menacing ways are often a cause of distress, as he is in control of life and death. Vocal range C3-G4
Erzulie - (F) The Goddess of Love, beautiful and elegant with a strong belief in the power of love. She has a sympathetic heart. Vocal range a3-C#5
Agwe - (M) The God of Water. He is strong, clever, and compassionate. Enjoys playing with the rain and ocean. Vocal range B2-E4
Asaka - (F) 40-60. The Mother of Earth. She is very caring and nurturing. Her motherly disposition makes her well-suited to provide inhabitants with anything they need. Vocal range A3-E5
Mama Euralie - (F) 45-55. Ti Moune's adoptive mother. She s fearful of social status and greatly protective of her family, Vocal range Gb3-B4
Tonton Julian - (M) 45-55. Ti Moune's adoptive father. Filled with courage fueled by the love for his wife and daughter. Vocal range A2-E4.
Daniel - (M) 18-27. A youthful man from the wealthy part of the island. He is pale skinned and inherently bound to fulfill expectations of his higher social class. Struggles with his feellings for Ti Moune. Vocal range C#3-F#4.
Andrea Deveraux - (F) 18-27. Daniel's promised wife.
Armand Deveraux - (M) 40-60. Daniel's stern Father.
