A) A brief monologue (not to exceed two minutes) OR
B) A brief song (not to exceed two minutes) OR
C) 16 bars of a song and a one-minute monologue.
If singing, bring sheet music; an accompanist is provided all day.

Male and female actors who sing and move well with strong comedic sense and character versatility. Must be available for daytime / weekday engagements and be able to participate as ACTOR / ASM. Limited short-term out-of-town touring, primarily day tours from central location in Verona, NJ. Lissie and her brother, Roger, fled their family farm when they were both still in high school. Today, they've come back for their father's funeral. When Billy -- who they both knew when they were kids -- offers to buy the farm, it sets all three of them tumbling down a rabbit hole of memory and grief, as they try to let go of a tangled past that refuses to let go of them.

A Soviet journalist with the gift of total recall. A psychologist seeking to rehabilitate herself. A government censor with a secret past. Over two decades their fates become entwined as victims and collaborators in Stalin’s campaign to rewrite public memory. Long before fake news was a trending topic, it was called propaganda. And in the Soviet Union, circa 1938, it was the grease that kept Stalin’s machinery of terror in motion. Enter a world where justice is arbitrary and freedom as we know it does not exist.

In this dark comedy set in a small New England town at Halloween, 18-year-old Perdue finds a job
in a place most people wouldn’t even consider: the local graveyard. Bid, the taciturn former Marine
who runs the cemetery, hires Perdue because she’s moved by her plight. Robbie, Bid’s assistant,
a fatherless boy whose knowledge of manhood has been gleaned from the pages of Maxim ,
launches a doomed campaign to seduce Perdue. By play’s end, the characters’ search for what
they’ve lost—a mother, a father, a child—ends when they find one another instead.
