Mr. Kraler: (Male Presenting, 30-45) Otto Frank's business partner, helps to hide the members of the annex, like Miep he never questions his obligations to the Franks and to doing what is right, a dignified man, he is at a loss for the world around him.

Story Adapted by Linda Chichester and David Coffman

Director: Ernie Nolan

Dates:

Rehearsals: March 22- April 12, 2023

Run April 13- May 21, 2023

Seeking:

CINDERELLA: A.K.A. ELLA C: (Female Presenting) A passionate, young woman whose mother passed away many years ago. Her father was a genius quantum computer scientist who remarried Lady Zurka before he, too, passed.

RUNKA: (Any gender) Constructed from video game computer parts, Runka is a robot made by Cinderella with her father. They are her sassy, human-like, hunk-a-junk companion and protector, and they have a real fondness for narrating Cinderella’s life over their live streaming Instahologram feed. Runka is out of date and in need of a serious upgrade, but they still have a few tricks up their mechanical sleeve.

LADY ZURKA/ROYAL ENGINEER/HIP HOP MASK BALL CONTESTANTS WINGNUT/ALLOY/BAFFLER: (Female Presenting) Cinderella’s stepmother. She enjoys being mean and bossy to Cinderella and treats Runka the Robot Rapper especially cruelly. One has to wonder whether all this anger might actually stem from a deeply repressed jealousy of the love her late husband had for his daughter, and his daughter for him. Perhaps there is a path to redemption after all.

ZIG/ROYAL ENGINEER: (Female Presenting) Lady Zurka’s vain and somewhat vapid daughter, giving off distinct valley girl vibes. Her loftiest dream is to be an Instahologram “influencer”.

ZAG/ROYAL ENGINEER: (Female Presenting) Lady Zurka’s stuck up and selfish daughter, who fancies reading books cover to cover (though not any of the pages in between), and who inexplicably started speaking with a British accent at the age of five when she overheard it on the Great Galactic Bakeoff Show her mom used to watch at night.

PRINCE: (Male Presenting) Heir to the throne of the Galactic Empire, he is an ineffectual but charming prince who is good at little except cultivating Instahologram followers, throwing extravagant parties, and disappointing his mother. He lives in the Hip Hop Palace on the capital planet Zolla.

AGGIE: (Any gender) The Empire’s galactic governing sentient supercomputer, existing purely in prop and voice-form. They are depressed because the citizens of the Empire are not acting “cool” enough. Voiced by an actual text-to-speech computer program.

Everyone entering the audition venue (i.e., venue employees, Equity members, non-members, casting personnel, creatives, producers, musicians, COVID Safety Managers, etc.) will be required to undergo a symptom check and provide one of the following prior to entry into the venue:
