Jo March - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Female, 18-26, a passionate and determined young author struggling to find her place in the world. She has the idea of writing Little Women and eventually becomes engaged to Professor Bhaer.
Amy March / Troll - Female, Age 16-24, The youngest, most energetic sister with a rather pompous air about her. She later marries Laurie. Doubles as the troll in the operatic tragedy.
Meg March / Clarissa - Female, Age 20-28, The world-weary, yet hopeful, oldest sister who yearns for a great life. She marries John and has twins with him. Doubles as Clarissa in the operatic tragedy.
Beth March / Rodrigo 2 - Female, Age 17-25, The second youngest of the sisters. Timid and musical, Beth encourages and helps her sisters selflessly. Forms an unlikely friendship with the crotchety Mr Laurence. Doubles as Rodrigo II in the operatic tragedy.
Marmee / Hag - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Female, Age 40-55, The March girls’ mother. She is the strong backbone of the family, who is courageous in spite of the difficult odds she faces. Doubles as the hag in the operatic tragedy.
Aunt March / Mr. Laurence / Mrs. Kirk / Knight - Female, Age 50-65, Aunt March is the formidable, over-bearing matron and great-aunt to the March sisters. The wealthy socialite in town. Mr. Laurence is Laurie’s grandfather. A stiff and stern elderly man who eventually shows his softer side and becomes friends with Beth. Mrs. Kirk The Irish owner of the boarding house in which Professor Bhaer and Jo meet.
Laurie Laurence / Rodrigo - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Male, Age 19-27, Lonely and charming boy next door who becomes firm friends with the March family. Proposes to Jo but eventually falls in love with and marries Amy. Doubles as Rodrigo in the operatic tragedy.
Mr. John Brooke / Braxton - Male, Age 26-34, Laurie’s tutor. A reserved and hardworking young man who only shows his tender side when he falls in love with Meg. Doubles as Braxton Prendergast in the operatic tragedy.
Professor Bhaer – Male, Age 30-40, A sensible German professor boarding with Mrs Kirk. Persuades Jo that she is better than the “blood and guts stuff” she writes. Falls in love with, and eventually becomes engaged to Jo.

Billy Bigelow - Male, Age 30s, handsome, cocky, charismatic barker for Mullin's Carousel. Proud, troubled, hard-headed, torn between right and wrong. In love with Julie Jordan. A strong singer.
Julie Jordan - Female, Age 20s, Quiet, naïve mill worker who falls in love with Billy Bigelow. Julie has an inner strength and maturity in the second act as the mother of fifteen-year-old Louise. A strong singer.
Carrie Pepperidge - Female, Age 20s, lively, funny friend and coworker of Julie Jordan. In love with Enoch Snow, Carrie offers a light-hearted balance to Julie's seriousness. A strong singer.
Enoch Snow - Male, Age 20s-30s, a bumbling, adorably shy fisherman with big plans for the future. A successful and somewhat pompous business owner in the second act. A strong singer. Tenor.
Jigger Craigin - Male, Age 30s, the dangerous, menacing seaman friend of Billy's who ultimately leads Billy astray. A con man with a bit of humor and an eye for Carrie Pipperidge. A good singer.
Starkeeper/Ensemble - Any Gender, any Age. a heavenly figure.
Mrs Mullen/ Ensemble - Female, Age 40s middle-aged widow and owner of the carousel. Jealously in love with Billy. This role may double with the ensemble.
Female Dancer/ Louise/Ensemble - Female, Age 18 - 20s, Julie & Billy's daughter. Major dancing role.
Male Dancer/ Ensemble - Male, 20s, must be strong dancer.
Young Girl/Ensemble - Female, 20s, must be strong dancer.
Enoch Jr./Ensemble - Male, Age 18 - 20s, the son of Enoch and Carrie, he appears in the second act. He likes Louise, but thinks she is beneath his station. This role will double with the ensemble.

Sky Masterson - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Male, Age 30-45, A high-stakes gambler whose luck never seems to run out, and a wild card who surprises himself when he falls in love with missionary Sarah Brown. Suave, smart, handsome.
Miss Adelaide - Female - Age 25, 35, Nathan’s fiancé and a lead performer at the Hot Box nightclub. She loves Nathan more than anything in the world and desperately wants to get married. Pretty, outspoken, stubborn.
Nathan Detroit - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Male, Age 35-34, A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the big time. He loves Adelaide but cannot quit his gambling ways. A broke schemer with unwitting ways.
Sgt. Sarah Brown - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Female, Age 20s-30s, A pretty, bright-eyed woman who serves as Sergeant of the local Mission. Idealistic, sheltered, and straightlaced, she is passionate about her cause and wishes to convert the gambling sinners to saints. Falls unexpectedly in love with gambler Sky Masterson along the way.
Nicely Nicely Johnson - *THIS ROLE IS CAST* Male, Age 30-45, Just like his name suggests, he is the nicest and cheeriest of the gambling crooks. High-spirited and a bit naïve, but sincere and genuine. Nathan’s loyal friend and lackey.
Benny Southstreet - Male, Age 30-45, Nathan’s right-hand man and a gambler himself. Smart, slick, always moving and shaking, but with what he thinks are Nathan’s best interest at heart.
Uncle Arvide - Male, Age 60s, Sarah’s grandfather and significant member of the Salvation Army mission. Wise, warm and caring.
Lt. Brannigan - Male, Age 40-55, A New York police officer who is on to Nathan’s illegal craps games and is dead-set on catching him. A tough, no-nonsense character.
Harry The Horse - Male, Age 30s, A crook and gambler. He is a tough guy with dollar signs as his bottom line. Brings Big Jule into Nathan’s craps game and backs his cheating but is also a man of his word in the gambling community.
Big Jule - Male, Age 30-50s, A big time craps player from Chicago who uses a gun and his own pair of rigged dice to bully his way into never losing. Tough looking. A bit of an oaf.
Rusty Charlie - Male, Age 20s, Sings the trio ‘Fugue for Tinhorns’ with Nicely & Benny.
General Cartwright - Female, Age 40s, Regional representative of the Salvation Army. Powerful, matronly, no-nonsense with a formidable presence and, it transpires, a sense of humor.
Hot Box/Crap Shooter/Ensemble - Female, Age 20s-30s, strong dancer and singer. Crap Shooter/Ensemble - Male, Age 20s-30s, strong dancer and singer.

Performances: August 7th-10th, 13th-17th, 20th-24th, 28th-31st
Grizabella - Female, Age 30s-40s, A former glamour cat, ostracized by the Jellicles, who has lost her sparkle and now only wants to be accepted. An iconic role requiring a strong vocalist.
Munkustrap - Any Gender, Any Age, A tomcat who is the storyteller and protector of the Jellicle tribe. He is Old Deuteronomy's second-in-command and the show's main narrator.
Rum Tum Tugger - Male, Any Age, A flashy and unappeasable cat who loves to be the center of attention. A bit of a diva and a show off. His temperament ranges from clownish to serious.
Old Deuteronomy - Male, Any Age, The wise and benevolent elderly Jellicle leader who is beloved by his tribe. He tries to get the other cats to accept Grizabella all through the show.
Jellylorum - Any gender, Any Age, A queen who watches out for the kittens and takes care of Gus. Named after T. S. Eliot's own cat.
Skimbleshanks - Male, Age 20s, – the Railway Cat – An upbeat and active, lives on the mail trains and acts as an unofficial chaperone to such an extent he is considered rather indispensable to the train and station employees. Quirky.
Jemima/Rumpleteaser - Female, Age 20s - Jemima is the youngest kitten. Sweet and compassionate. Rumpleteaser is a mischievous troublemaker, she is one half of a notorious duo of cat burglars along with Mungojerrie.
Gus, the Theater Cat - Male, Age 50s - 60s - An elderly cat whose paws tremble from old age; he spends his time reminiscing about his past exploits when he used to be a famous theatre actor.
Bombalurina - Female, Age 20s - 30s - A flirty and confident red queen; she is best friends with Demeter and the two share an intense hatred for Macavity.
Demeter - Female, Age 20s - 30s - A troubled and skittish queen; she is best friends with Bombalurina and the two share an intense hatred for Macavity.
Jennyanydots - Female, Age 20s-30s - the Old Gumbie Cat – She sits around all day and is seemingly very lazy, but at night, she becomes very active as she rules the mice and cockroaches, forcing them to undertake helpful functions and creative projects to curb their naturally destructive habits.
Mungojerrie/Mistoffelees - Male, Age 20s-30s A mischievous troublemaker, he is one-half of a notorious duo of cat burglars along with Rumpleteazer.
Bustopher Jones - Male, Age 20s - 30s, An upper-class cat who is respected by all. He is described as the Brummell of cats due to his immaculate pelt.

Performances: October 2nd-5th, 8th-12th, 15th-19th, 23rd-26th
Roger - Male, Age 20-25, A musician/singer-songwriter who is a recovering drug addict living with HIV. Roger has mourned members of his community and is grieving the loss of his deceased former girlfriend. Roger longs for connection and meaning through his music. He is roommates with Mark in an abandoned loft space. He is reminiscent of a young Kurt Cobain and/or Lenny Kravitz in his musical styling.
Mark - Male, Age 20-25, A filmmaker and video artist who constantly seeks validation. He connects deeply with his roommate Roger and longs for the days when his group of friends were closer. In his struggles to find his place in the world, he often finds himself on the outside looking in. Mark comes from privilege but desires to understand his responsibility to himself and his community.
Tom Collins - Male, Age 20-35, A professor of technology at NYU that is grounded in anarchy and liberation, Tom Collins is a proud black man who is smart, caring, and the backbone of his friend group. His chosen family is lifted by his positive and nurturing spirit. His warmth and empathic presence allow him to invite his friends to examine personal accountability. Tom used to be a roommate in the loft with Mark and Roger. He is also living with HIV.
Joanne - Female, Age 25-40, A public interest lawyer who always fights for the underdog, Joanne comes from a conservative upper-class black family. As an out and proud lesbian, she demands her own liberation. She is smart, purposeful, and grounded. She is dating Maureen Johnson. Joanne’s connection to Maureen brings her into an established chosen family where she discovers the power of being celebrated in your own community.
Angel - Non-Binary, Age 20-30, A vibrant street musician who radiates light! Angel moves through the world as a gender nonconforming human who is also living with HIV. Angel has an incredible spirit with a gift for inspiring human connection all while being a street fashion icon. Angel is magnetic and rooted in living for the moment. Angel meets and swiftly becomes Tom Collins’ partner, a connection that brings Angel into the chosen family group.
Mimi Marquez - Female, Age 20-25, A dancer, Mimi is a proud Afro-Latinx woman determined to live in the moment. She is a drug addict who is living with HIV. A young woman on a journey to find who she is and what she is fighting for. Mimi’s addiction and intentions are often at odds. She desperately tries to make the best of life in whatever way she can. Living in the same building as Roger and Mark, Mimi meets the friend group through her unexpected romantic connection to Roger and is forever changed by this chosen family.
Maureen - Female, Age 20-25, A performance artist who is constantly raging and ready to fight. Maureen is full of well-intended passion and anarchist energies of which she pours into her art no matter the medium. She’s a former roommate of Roger, Mark, Collins and Benny. She completes the chosen family rounding out the space with intoxicating energy dripping with sexualized vigor. Maureen is queer and openly dating Joanne after recently breaking up with Mark. Bursting with confidence and a vivacious spirit.
Benny - Male, Age 25-30, Mark and Roger's landlord and former roommate. A proud black man, Benny struggles to find connection with his former chosen family. He is constantly battling being a friend while pleasing his new white in-laws. Despite being seen as a sellout, Benny longs to know who he is and where he fits in his community.
