All shows will be performed in the Sprenger Theatre of The Atlas Performing Arts Center. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

MADDY: Female, Late 30’s / 40’s, Jewish. Intelligent, witty, fighting to keep her head above water. Can go from zero to 100 in a beat. An experienced medical examiner. Daughter to BEA, sister to LAUREN, wife to ADAM, mother of two boys, granddaughter to DORIS. Nudity not required.
BEA: Female, Mid 50’s /early 70’s, Jewish. Steadfast in her belief of what is and what isn’t, teacher, mother of LAUREN and MADDY, daughter of DORA, the wife of Harry.)
LAUREN: Late 30’s / 40’s, the peacekeeper – wants the family to get along at all cost. Sister to MADDY, daughter to BEA, granddaughter to DORA.
BUBBY DORIS: Female, 60s / 80s, Jewish. All knowing. Wants what she thinks is best for her family. Mother to BEA, grandmother to LAUREN & MADDY. Deceased.
ADAM: Late 30’s / 40’s, BIPOC. Devoted husband to MADDY for 20 years, warm and engaged father to their two boys. A journalist.
KAIA: Female, 20’s, BIPOC. Fiery, passionate, deep thinker. Forensic pathology fellow training to become a medical examiner with MADDY.
NARISSA: Female, 40s-50s. BIPOC. A measured, “thinks before she feels” psychoanalyst to MADDY and the audience.
