Bob Lohrmann, Director
EDDIE (Age 30-55)-a well-dressed confidence man who covers a dangerous interior with a smooth, suave, and occasionally charming exterior. Often the “villain” of the piece, he must have a great sense of comedy as well
MIKEY (Age 23-30) is an eager beaver high energy preppy/geek who is a capable, earnest partner to Nick, the detective. Fresh out of junior college studying criminology, he is a likable go-getter. Must have his hair washed and blown-dry every performance.
NICK (Age 30-45) CAST is a hard-working New York gumshoe detective responsible for keeping the investigation at the Shear Madness salon on track. A personable actor who can be an excellent comic straight man.
TONY (Age 25-40) CAST is the likable, flamboyant, irrepressible proprietor of the Shear Madness salon. He is fun, devilish, and interested in everything and everyone, but never jaded in any way.
BARBARA (Age 30-45) CAST is the wisecracking, gum-snapping, nail-polishing hairdresser cum manicurist.
MRS. SHUBERT (Age 45-75) CAST is an old-money socialite of impeccable breeding and manner. She can turn on the charm when she needs to and at her finest is a class act who looks good and moves well.

James Warwick, Director
T. STEADMAN HARDER (Range 30-45) Pretentious wealthy landowner. Exudes a superior air but is insecure beneath the surface. A bit of an oaf.
MIKE HOGAN: 20 years old (Range 21-25)-Youngest son of Phil Hogan and brother of Josie Hogan, a “primly, self-righteous” young man with a “common Irish face,” immature, far too soft to hold his own with his father, runs away with the help of his sister Josie.
JOSIE HOGAN: (Range 30s-early 40s) CAST Irish farmer’s daughter. Tall with broad shoulders. Strong arms. Described by others as “big and strong as a bull”.
PHIL HOGAN: (Range 55-65) CAST Irish farmer with a pronounced brogue. Medium height and build with a great amount of energy. Gruff manner. Is known for his temper and is often violent. Is also known for his great sense of humour.
JIM TYRONE JR.: (Range 40-50) CAST Actor. Exudes charm. Educated, well spoken. Also has a quick mind and quick tongue. Enjoys a laugh but is consumed by self loathing.

LINDA O’SHEA (19-years old)-Linda is highly intelligent, caring, and curious. She alternates between thinking she knows everything and thinking she knows nothing.
THERESA “TERRI” CARMICHAEL (late 50s)-Jo’s sister and aunt to Linda and Becky. Going through a rough patch.
BECKY O’SHEA (13-years old)-Bright and verbal. Full of energy and a crazy-huge imagination.
MIKE O’SHEA (50s) Doubles as Father Lovett (50s)/ Betty Heckenbach (50s)
Jo’s husband and Linda & Jo’s father. Mike is loud, loyal, and single-task oriented. Father Lovett is an old school, Catholic priest.
Betty is the nosy neighbor. Even though the role is played by a man, it has to be played absolutely straight—no winking or flamboyance.
JOSEPHINE 'JO' O'SHEA (late 40s, early 50s) CAST Jo juggles more plates than Cirque de Soleil. A great mom who defines multi-tasking.

JENNA (20s-30s)-A woman stuck in her life as an unhappily married waitress in a small town. Finds some happiness and expression through her meticulous baking of pies. Has a fantastic pop/rock voice with great range.
DAWN (20s)-She is youngest of the waitresses. Thick glasses, hair parted 14 centimeters to the left - eccentric is the nice way to say she's slightly unusual, and not so slightly OCD. An odd duck. Has excellent comedic timing. Has an excellent pop/rock/folk voice.
BECKY (30s-50s)-The oldest of the waitresses. Irreverent, irascible, been there, made it back, and somehow kept her forward and sometimes wicked sense of humor. Has a soulful pop voice with an excellent pop belt.
DR. POMATTER (30 - 45)-Handsome, endearing, and neurotic. Has a warm, if clumsy, matter. Jenna's gynecologist with whom an unexpected extramarital affair is born. Has a quirky sense of humor and a big heart, despite the fact that he's contributing to the affair. Has a strong pop/rock tenor that can navigate the musical style of Sara Bareilles with ease.
EARL (20s-30s) Caucasian-Jenna’s husband. Peaked in high school, handsome in a gruff way, but that face is clouded with broken dreams, drowned with cheap beer. NOTE: Guitar playing a plus.
JOE (60s-70s)-The owner of the diner where Jenna, Dawn, Becky, and Cal work. A seemingly old, curmudgeonly man who has a soft spot for Jenna (and her pie), warm at heart. A sarcastically funny and no-nonsense guy with a keen ability to read people. Very funny. Strong voice.
CAL (40s) A chef at the diner. A “Salt of the Earth '' guy's guy surrounded by gals. Brash, impatient, unsentimental, but somehow charming. Has a strong pop/rock voice, and great comedic chops.
OGIE (late 20s-30s)-Strange, yet oddly lovable. Becomes slightly obsessed with Dawn (in a hilarious yet endearing way) after she goes on a 5-minute date with him. Quirky, incredibly persistent, and odd, yet kind. Has excellent comedic timing. Has a strong pop/rock tenor/baritenor sound.
ENSEMBLE: Male-presenting and female-presenting, any race/ethnicity, ranging from 20’s to 40’s. Must have excellent facility with harmony, comedic timing, and be able to play a range of characters comprising the community in which the story takes place. Must be strong movers/dancers
