SYNOPSIS: Country music royalty Johnny Cash and June Carter remain to this day one of the most famous couples of the 20th Century. Created with the support of the family and told through the eyes of their son John Carter Cash, this new musical covers it all: their childhoods, their 1956 meeting at the Grand Ole Opry, the storied on-stage proposal in 1968, and the soaring highs and whiplash lows of fame, life on the road, addiction, arrests, controversies, marriage, family and devotion. This is a whole-hearted and clear-eyed telling of one of the most iconic love stories in music history, complete with a soundtrack of beloved hits — I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Hey Porter, Jackson, I’ve Been Everywhere and many more.

SYNOPSIS: A series of intense storms – a “derecho” – is bearing down on an affluent Virginia neighborhood near D.C., where Eugenia Silva is preparing for a crucial meeting. Eugenia is a politician hoping to join the wave of women of color elected to public office. Her sister Mercedes is a struggling musician fighting to find her way on her own terms. As winds rise and thunder cracks — and tensions between the sisters reach boiling point — Eugenia’s political ambitions crash into Mercedes’s need to reconnect her sister with their roots.

GABE DIAZ: character presents as male, early 30s, Afro-Latino — Eugenia’s husband. Lawyer. The only character who didn’t spend any of his teenage years in the DC Area. Born in the northeastern U.S. Doesn’t speak Spanish.
JOSÉ PORTILLO: character presents as male, early 30s, Latino — Ex-neighbor of Mercedes and Eugenia. Bilingual. A community leader and activist who speaks truth to power and is respected and followed, especially online.
SOLEDAD PORTILLO: character presents as female, late 20s, Latina — Bilingual. Top sales rep who knows when to hit the brakes and when to close the deal. Mother. Born and raised in D.C.
JEFF RANDOLPH: character presents as male, early 30s, white — Northern Virginia native, private school, Georgetown. Has all the connections, wants none of the burdens or expectations that come with them.

SYNOPSIS: Kenneth, a 36-year-old bookstore worker in a small upstate New York town, spends his evenings sipping Mai Tais at the local tiki bar with his best friend Bert. When he’s suddenly laid off, Kenneth faces challenges he has long avoided—with transformative and heart-warming results. Primary Trust is a touching story of new beginnings, old (and new) friends, and finding the courage to see the world for the first time.
KENNETH: character presents as male, late 30s, Black. Kenneth is introverted and developmentally delayed due to a traumatic childhood. He is best friends with Bert, who Kenneth is fully aware is imaginary. Kenneth spends all of his free time with Bert drinking two-for-one Mai Tai’s at Wally’s. When the bookstore closes its doors for good, Kenneth is forced to face a new career and old demons.
BERT: character presents as male, late 30s – 40s, Black. Kenneth’s imaginary best friend. In fact, Bert is the only real friend that Kenneth has ever known. Kenneth’s moral and social compass. Created in the image of the social worker who saved Kenneth when he was a child and has been with Kenneth ever since.
CORRINA / WALLY’S WAITERS / BANK CUSTOMERS: character presents as female, 30s – 40s, Black. Strong character, Doubles as multiple roles, including Corrina, a waitress who befriends Kenneth and introduces him to the possibility of a new career path, as well as others.
CLAY / SAM / LE POUSSELET BARTENDER: character presents as male, 50s – 60s, Caucasian. Strong character, Doubles as multiple roles including Sam, the bookstore owner, and Clay, the manager at Primary Trust who takes a chance on Kenneth, as well as others.

SYNOPSIS: Eddie is a young actor, fresh out of Juilliard and ready to make his mark on the American Theatre. First he’s just going to do this regional production of A Christmas Carol. As the years pass, Eddie finds himself back at the same local theatre, over and over and over again. Much remains the same: the play, the stage manager, the green room – though Eddie finds himself in different costumes as he ages through the male roles over the course of his career.
EDDIE: character presents as male, 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Just out of Juilliard and eager to embark on his career as an actor. Once a child actor, Eddie is the only character we see age throughout the play, beginning as Fred, moving to Bob Cratchit, and eventually the hierarchical pinnacle of the regional theatre actor’s career, Scrooge.
ACTOR 1: character presents as male, 50s-60s, any ethnicity — actor plays Oliver, who plays Scrooge in the regional production of A Christmas Carol and has done so for many years. Contented in having a steady acting job year after year and being at the top of the regional theatre seasonal pyramid. A seasoned and highly trained Actor and makes sure everyone knows it. Only refers to Eddie as “Edward”.
ACTOR 2: character presents as male, 40s-50s, any ethnicity — plays the roles of Vince and Dave, actors who play Bob Cratchit in the regional production of A Christmas Carol over the years. Made a career doing regional theatre. A bit jaded.
ACTOR 3: character presents as male, to play 20s, any ethnicity — plays the roles of Steve, Bryan and Aiden, the actors who play Fred in the regional production of A Christmas Carol over the years. Rational and grounded. Steve is engaged in a showmance with Eddie. Content in his role in the show and in Eddie’s life but wouldn’t mind something more.
ACTOR 4: character presents as female, to play 10, any ethnicity — plays the roles of Melody, Tina, Liza and McKenzie, the actors cast as Lucy Cratchit in the regional production of A Christmas Carol over the years. Young and excitable, but also dealing with the strain of a demanding stage mom.
ACTOR 5: character presents as female, 40s-50s, any ethnicity — plays the roles of Katherine, Nina (Oliver’s estranged wife), Amanda (the harried stage manager) and Tina, the actors who play Mrs. Cratchit in the regional production of A Christmas Carol over the years. Also doubles as recorded voiceover of Amanda, the stage manager. Been around a long time and knows how to play the game. Flirtatious and vivacious.

SYNOPSIS: Summer, 1862. The bloody conflict that was supposed to last only 90 days has now been raging for more than a year. President Abraham Lincoln must find a way to end the Civil War. Enter powerful abolitionist Frederick Douglass. If he can meet Lincoln face to face, he can help the president cement a vision of the future that ends slavery along with the war — all while preserving the union. Just three meetings took place between the two men — pivotal conversations between two fierce and equally brilliant leaders that shaped the course of history. The epic score blends gospel, R&B, powerhouse anthems and Broadway to tell the inspirational story of one of the most important friendships in our nation’s history, and that of a brutally divided country coming together.
