SEYMOUR
Male, Early 30’s, Caucasian, Vocal Range- Tenor A2-G4. A loveable, sweet, well-meaning, lost nerd with a heart of gold. Seymour is naïve and extremely insecure. Our put-upon florist’s clerk hero.
MR. MUSHNIK
Male, Late 50’s, Caucasian, Vocal Range- BaritoneG2-F4. Everyone’s favorite Uncle. He is tough, honest and well meaning, but with business down he is stressed and moody.
CRYSTAL, RONETTE, AND CHIFFON
Female, Late 20’s-Early 30’s, African American, Vocal range –Alto/Soprano Ab3-F5. Think the Supremes with sass. Street urchins who function as participants in the action and as a Greek Chorus outside it.
VOICE OF THE PLANT
Male, 20’s-50’s, Any Ethnicity, Baritone G2-G4. An actor off stage on microphone. His sound is a cross between Otis Redding, Barry White, and Wolfman Jack. A street-smart, funky, conniving villain. The Rhythm and Blues answer to Richard III.
