ROLES:
JUN HYUK: 20s, this character is Korean, he/him. Member of F8, The boy band. He was the leader of F8 before EPIC came along and is still fighting to stay in charge. Proudly Korean, Jun Hyuk resents Epic's clumsy attempts at cultural outreach. A burning furnace of emotion, Jun Hyuk does everything he can to keep a lid on it - until he can't. Speaks Korean. An excellent singer and dancer. This Role is Cast.
RTMIS MEMBERS (5): 20 to 30 years old, these characters are Korean, she/her. Performers with crisp, pop belt vocals and excellent dance ability. Members of the KPOP girl group RTMIS. Rapping skills, specialized dance/movement skills, and/or fluent Korean is a plus. One or more of these women may cover MwE. Ensemble. These Roles are Cast.
F8 MEMBERS (6): 20 to 30 years old, these characters are Korean, he/him. Excellent dancers with strong pop voices. Members of the KPOP boy band F8. Ensemble. These Roles are Cast.
CAMERA OPERATOR: 30s, he/him. Harry’s right hand man. Films the Kpop stars during their performances and - at Harry’s bidding - during their private moments as well. Experience with camera equipment a plus. Ensemble. Will cover: HARRY 30s. A Sundance sensation who's hired by the label to direct a concert documentary. He's a woke dude, an artist, an auteur. He believes himself to be a humanist, a millennial Martin Scorcese, and a man for whom the work comes before all else. This Role is Cast.
SWINGS TO COVER F8: 20 to 30 years old, these characters are Korean, he/him. Excellent dancers with strong pop voices to cover members of F8. May understudy Brad, Jun Hyuk, Juny and/or others. Swing experience is a plus. Proficiency with Korean a plus.
SWINGS TO COVER RTMIS: 20 to 30 years old, these characters are Korean, she/her. Excellent dancers with strong pop voices to cover members of RTMIS. May understudy MwE or Ruby. Swing experience is a plus. Speak some Korean.
