Performances are Thursday through Sunday, with understudy rehearsals on Thursday afternoons (after opening). All rehearsals and performances are in Ridgefield, CT at ACT of Connecticut.

Round trip transportation is provided on a daily basis (between NYC and Ridgefield, CT) in shared company vehicles for all rehearsals and performances. From the start of technical rehearsals through the opening weekend, local housing will be offered to non-local cast members (rather than traveling back and forth daily between NYC and Ridgefield, CT).

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

An Equity Monitor will be provided.

BREAKDOWN

KINKY BOOTS

SYNOPSIS: Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair find that they have more in common than they realized... and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your whole world.

SEEKING:

[ LOLA / SIMON ] Male-identified character, early to mid-30s, Black. A prize fighter's physique draped in satin. A talented drag queen with a killer voice and winning ways. Vocal range: E3 - B4.

[ CHARLIE PRICE ] Male-identified character, mid-20s – mid-30s. A leading man, just out of university. A bit confused, a bit unfocused, a hero hiding under a victim's mantle. Vocal range: C3 - B4.

[ LAUREN ] Female-identified character, 20s – early 30s. Beautiful and strong working-class girl who works in the shoe factory. Funny and smart but has had bad luck with men. Comedic. Vocal range: Bb3 - F#5.

[ DON ] Male-identified character, 20s-40s. Lola's nemesis. Burly, hyper-masculine bear of a factory worker. Vocal range: A2 - F4 (up to D5 falsetto).

[ GEORGE ] Male-identified character, 30s – 50s. Factory manager keeping up traditions. Vocal range: G#2-D4.
