Please prepare a short song in the style of SOUTH PACIFIC or FOOTLOOSE. You may sing from either show. Please bring sheet music in the key you wish to sing. An accompanist will be provided. Also bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

NELLIE FORBUSH – Mid 20s-40; an optimistic and simple Navy nurse from Little Rock, Arkansas who falls in love with Emile; subtle comic timing. Strong mezzo. (A3 to C5).
BLOODY MARY – AAPI; 35-50; a shrewd merchant native to the island, who makes a fortune off the sailors. Full of local character. Mother of Liat. Mezzo-Soprano. (G3 to F5).
LIEUTENANT JOSEPH CABLE - 18-30; a young, formal and good-looking officer who falls in love with Liat; masculine with a good physique and believable as a member of the Army; soaring Tenor (E3 to G4).
LUTHER BILLIS - 30-45; a shlubby, mediocre entrepreneur; friend to all and a man with a lust for the ladies; funny, masculine and believable as a member of the army. Strong baritone.
LIAT - AAPI; 18-25; heartbreakingly delicate, beautiful and the picture of purity; moves well; dance skills a plus.
STEWPOT - 25-35; a funny, shlubby character man; one of the sailors and Luther Billis’ cohorts. Strong tenor. (E3-B3).
PROFESSOR - 25-35; a funny character man of the studious type; one of the Sailors and Luther Billis’ cohorts. Strong Baritone.
CAPTAIN GEORGE BRACKETT - 40-60; a pompous yet competent officer who hides a heart of gold. Baritone.
COMMANDER HARBISON - 35-50; Officious Navy man; Brackett’s second-in-command and right-hand man. sings.
