ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION AND REHEARSE IN NYC.
**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A TOURING PRODUCTION. THIS IS THEATREWORKS USA’S FREE SUMMER THEATER PRODUCTION AT THE LUCILLE LORTEL THEATRE. TICKETS FOR ALL PERFORMANCES ARE DISTRIBUTED FREE OF CHARGE TO THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF NEW YORK CITY.
All actors are signs as Actor/ASMs. Actor/ASMs are required to unload/load, setup and/or strike the set. No single piece of scenery shall exceed such proportions of height or weight as to make it impossible to be carried reasonably by two members of the company.
ALL ACTORS MUST SING. This is a musical based on the popular children's book series, Junie B. Jones. All MUST be versatile with comedic flair. Also must be able to carry tight harmonies.

SEEKING:
JUNIE B. JONES
Belter with soprano mix, to F, 1 1/2 octaves above middle C. 18+ female actress to play young girl. First grader extraordinaire! MUST have comedic, improvisational flair. Wildly precocious, yet completely and utterly endearing. 5’-5’4”
MAY
Brassy belt. 18+ female actress to play Junie's know-it-all, type-A, perfectionist, quirky classmate. Also plays EL TORO FABULOSO, the “bull inside Junie’s stomach,” among other characters. 5’2”-5’4” All ethnicities encouraged to submit.
HERB
Tenor. 18+ male actor to play Junie's best friend. Cute, a bit shy, and trusts that Junie has all the answers. Also plays MR. SCARY, a first grade teacher, and plays the school PRINCIPAL, among others. Must be versatile and funny, endearing and charming. 5’6”-5’10” All ethnicities encouraged to submit.
SHELDON
Tenor/ bari-tenor. 18+ male actor to play Junie's classmate, a lactose intolerant nerd. Also plays GLADYS GUTZMAN, the school’s fabulous lunch lady, among other characters. 5’8”-5’11” All ethnicities encouraged to submit.
