Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story: Cast Breakdown
Buddy Holly: Male, 20-25. Singer-songwriter from Lubbock, Texas, Buddy is intelligent, charismatic, and at least 6’ tall. Must play guitar, sing and act and have a feel for Rock ’n’ Roll.
Joe B. Mauldin: Male, 20-25. Double Base player from Lubbock, Texas. A serious and ‘square’ young man with musical ability. Must be able to sing and act.
Jerry Allison: Male, 20-25. Drummer from Lubbock, Texas. A good looking guy with irrepressible cheeky humor and musical ability. Must be able to act and sing.
Maria Elena Holly: Female, 20-25, Latina. Classy and well-educated with musical ability. Must be able to act and sing.
J.P. Richardson—The Big Bopper: Male, 25-30. A former DJ, he is a Texan with an irrepressible larger-than-life character and 6’ tall or over. Must have the ability to command the stage on his own. Best known for his 1958 recording of “Chantilly Lace. Must be able to act, sing and play a musical instrument/guitar.
Ritchie Valens: Male, 20-25, Latino. He is a handsome boy with serious charisma, a dedicated eye for the ladies and the ability to hold the stage on his own. Best known for his 1958 hit “La Bamba.” Must be able to sing and act.
Hipockets Duncan: Male 25-40. An exuberant hometown radio DJ from Lubbock, Texas, with an air of authority and keen sense of humor. Must be able to act, sing and play a musical instrument.
Norman Petty: Male, 30-40. A record producer from Clovis, New Mexico with a business-like manner and a love of making records. Must be a strong actor. Must be able to sing and play a musical instrument.
Vi Petty: Female, 30-40. Norman’s wife with a heart of gold and a good sense of humor. Must be able to act, sing and play keyboards.
Apollo Performers: 1 Male, 1 Female, African-American. Must have good comic timing and hold the stage on their own during the song “Shout.” Must be able to sing, act and play a musical instrument.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder: Cast Breakdown
The D’Ysquity Family: 30s – mid 50s. Must be an experienced and comedic actor who has a superb grasp on British farce. Physical comedy and stamina is a necessity. Does not necessarily need to be a phenomenal singer, but must be able to carry a musical comedy without any hesitation. Plays a full range of characters from the same family, each of them an intrinsic “English type.”
Monty Navarro: Mid 20s – 30s. Handsome and effortlessly charming, clever and charismatic, vulnerable and endearing, with a highly developed appreciation for life’s ironies. Monty drives the story; must be able to command attention. While he is intent on killing off the entire family tree, he must have a winning charm that would garner anybody’s trust. High baritone with a strong top; solid low A to high A.
Sibella Hallward: 20s – mid 30s. Sexy, flirtatious, narcissistic, willful, calculating, and irresistible. She is a social climber but also truly loves Monty, and in the end would do anything to protect him. Tremendous wit and high style. Strong mover. Character mezzo, low F# to high A.
Phoebe D’Ysquity: Early 20s – early 30s. Beautiful, virtuous, forthright, romantic, comically earnest, with a backbone of steel. Must have a sense of irony and humor, in addition to a youthful innocence behind her sophistication. Very flexible and agile. Coloratura soprano, B below middle C to a high sustained C# with an optional high Eb.

Aida: Female 18 to 25. Mezzo-Soprano F5 – G3. A beautiful, brave Nubian Princess who is loyal to her people but is torn between her heritage and love for an Egyptian Captain. Daughter of King Amonasro.
Radames: Male 20 to 28. Tenor Ab5 – G3. An Egyptian Captain and the son of Zoser. A strong, handsome, adventurous soldier who falls in love with Aida.
Amneris: Female 18 to 25. Mezzo-Soprano E5 – E3. A beautiful and materialistic Egyptian Princess who is the betrothed of Captain Radames. Daughter of the Pharaoh.
Mereb: Male 18 to 23. Tenor A5 – G3. A young Nubian slave and servant to Radames. He is faithful to his Nubian heritage and befriends Aida upon her arrival to Egypt.
Zoser: Male 40 to 55. Tenor D5 – D4. The manipulative and evil Chief Minister hungry for power. He attempts to poison the Pharaoh and is father to Radames.
Nehebka: Female 20 to 35. Mezzo-Soprano E5 – G3. A Nubian slave who is friendly with Aida. She creates a robe for the Nubian Princess.
Pharaoh: Male 50 to 65. The Leader of Egypt and father to Amneris. An older, distinguished gentleman.
Amonasro: Male 45 to 55. An honorable and peaceful man who is imprisoned by Egypt. The King of Nubia and father to Aida.
