LOOKING FOR EXCEPTIONAL HIP HOP ARTISTS WHO ARE ALSO THREE DIMENSIONAL ACTORS
Seeking:
SELECTOR
(Female, Any Ethnicity 33-45) Must have a magnetic voice and swagger for days. She is the narrator of the piece able to hold the audience’s attention in the palm of her hand. Selector is fierce, honest, and grounded as she spins the story. Must be an adept actress able to assume many different roles in rapid succession using just mannerisms and her voice.
HANK
(Male, African American, 15) Hank views the world through Hip Hop. He is an outsider that is trying to grow on his own terms. Hank is very ambitious and at times his brain can get ahead of him. If there had been an American Idol for Hip Hop in 1988, Hank would have been in the top three. ACTOR MUST BE 18 OR OLDER, BUT PLAY YOUNGER.
JULIAN
(Male, Latino, 15) Julian is more confident than either Hank or Luann. He is a born leader who isn’t ready to lead. A natural rapper deft with language and physically comfortable in his own skin. He is also an excellent basketball player. If there had been an American Idol for Hip Hop in 1988, Julian would have been in the top three. ACTOR MUST BE 18 OR OLDER, BUT PLAY YOUNGER.
LUANN
(Female, African American, 15) A talented, fearless rapper. She is smart, fun, and ready to be seen. She is not afraid to get in your face if she needs to. If there had been an American Idol for Hip Hop in 1988, Luann would have been in the top three. ACTOR MUST BE 18 OR OLDER, BUT PLAY YOUNGER.
