BREAKDOWN
SYNOPSIS:
Same-sex marriage has finally become the law of the land and there’s no better time to settle down -– so why is everyone so unsettled? Philippa's trying to buy a condo with her partner. Ilsa's nervously planning a life for her quadri-cultural, tri-racial baby. And when Rupesh surprises Joey with a proposal, Joey realizes that the idea of acceptance has him more confused than ever.

JOEY
Male, Filipino-American, gay, late 30’s. An artist working on a controversial photography project.
RUPESH
Male, Indian-American, gay, late 30’s-early 40’s. Joey’s long-time partner, a lawyer.
ILSA
Female, Filipino-American, straight, 30’s.Joey’s sister, pregnant.
PHILIPPA
Female, African-American, lesbian, mid-30’s-early 40’s. A lawyer who works with Rupesh, buying a condo with her partner.
MAX
Male, Caucasian, gay, mid-30’s-early 40’s. Joey’s estranged friend (or possibly more) who comes back into his life to take part in Joey’s photography project.
