UNDERSTUDY 1 (20s-50s, black, female or female identifying): Will cover the roles of Hallie, Annie, Elizabeth, Chessy and possibly more.
UNDERSTUDY 2 (20s-50s, male or male-identifying): Will cover the roles of Nick, Martin, Meredith, Chessy, Others, and possibly more.
UNDERSTUDY 3 (any gender): Will cover the roles of Annie, Meredith, Hallie, Elizabeth, Nick, Martin, Others, and possibly more.
The following roles are CAST:
ANNIE (20s-40s, White, any gender): An eleven-year-old girl who's so British, she's practically Shakespearean. Underneath her proper and polite exterior is a hot streak of rage, so be careful to not push her.
HALLIE (20s-40s, Black, female or female-identifying): An eleven-year-old girl from California - tough, cool, and clever. She knows what she wants and honestly does not care whose lives she ruins to get it. But what does she know, she's only eleven!
NICK (30s/40s, male or male-identifying): Nick is a sexy zaddy who's honestly kind of dumb. Owns and runs a vineyard (a what-yard?) in Napa Valley. Gullible and easily aroused, this man is a complete pushover until it really matters.
ELIZABETH/OTHERS (30s/40s, female or female-identifying): Elizabeth is a gorgeous, almost angelic British woman with a strict business side. Think Princess Di meets Miranda Priestly. She's very put together in any situation, unless there's cocaine involved.
MEREDITH/OTHERS (30s-50s, any gender): A flirtatious bombshell who's looking for long-term security. She'd be the perfect guest at The White Lotus.
MARTIN/OTHERS (30s-50s, any gender): Martin is the butler of Annie and Elizabeth. Serviceable, caring, and queer adjacent. Doubles as Grandpapa (an old British war veteran) and Marva Sr (a forgetful camp director).
CHESSY/OTHERS (30s-50s, any gender): Chessy is the fun-loving nanny of Hallie and Nick. Emotional, curious, and queer adjacent. Honestly more of a parent to Hallie than Nick ever was. Doubles as Marva Jr (An enthusiastic camp director).
OTHERS (20s-50s, any gender): Characters will range from Shirley MacLaine in Postcards From the Edge to a lizard. This track may understudy other roles as well.
