All stage management positions have been filled.

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare a brief song with accompaniment in the style of the show or prepare one of the music cuts provided in the Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fjennj19w8ccqm0/AAD3AE9GeTghzvA59VudeZBQa?dl=0. Slate with your name. Upload to YouTube, Vimeo (make sure video is downloadable), or Google Drive (do not invite us to the file via email, please send a direct link). BREAKDOWN

Seeking:

Mrs. Brice - White, female, 50s+, Jewish. Tough Brooklyn mother with a dry sense of humor. Loves her daughter deeply. Character singing voice.

Eddie Ryan - Male, m20s-m30s. Fanny’s closest friend. Good comic timing is essential. A true triple threat. Must tap well.

Mrs. Strakosh - White, female, 50s+, Jewish. Mrs. Brice’s poker buddy. Funny. Must have a nice singing voice.

Ziegfeld - White, male, 60s. One of the great Broadway producers. Elegant, imposing and firm. Non-singing role.

Tom Keeney - White, male, 40s+. A very Irish, working-class Vaudeville producer. Some singing and some tap required.

Emma / Mrs. Nadler - Female, m20s-30s. Fanny’s maid and confidant. / A woman from one of the neighborhood gangs from Henry Street.

These roles are cast:

Fanny Brice - White, female, mid20s-e30s, Jewish. Rises from humble beginnings to become one of Ziegfeld’s biggest stars. A tour de force role. Must be a great singer.

Nick Arnstein - Male, mid-to-late 30s. A handsome and charming gambler who is Fanny’s one great love. Strong baritone.
