Premiere Stages, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Kean University. Premiere Stages is located in Union, NJ, 40 minutes from Manhattan. There is a train that stops at the Kean University campus (from Penn Station). Brief sides will be provided at the audition as will a reader. Non-equity actors will be seen if time permits.
EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

LESLIE:
Caucasian American woman, 40s. Single and looking to become a foster parent. Poet by trade. Somewhat naïve, heart in the right place. Still figuring everything out, but on the right track. THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST.
SOPHIE:
Latina or Black American woman, 30s. Social worker. Straightforward and responsible. Capable of profound love and sacrifice.
JOSH:
Asian American man, 40s. Owns his own tech company. Goofy, friendly and slightly awkward.
SARAH:
Caucasian American woman, 60s. Leslie’s mom, recent widower. Loveable and energetic. Conventional values when it comes to starting a family. Has Leslie’s best interests in mind.
