TRW’s RING OF FIRE: The Music of Johnny Cash has had a remarkable journey from Broadway to theatres across the world. The show recently received a hot new re-conception by original RING OF FIRE creator Richard Maltby, Jr. featuring a cast of five actor/musicians.
“From the opening chords of vintage country to rockabilly, rock n’ roll, searing ballads and gentle songs of love and deep faith, Ring of Fire packs a score that provides a rich fabric in which to lay down the story of Johnny Cash. The great bio-pic “Walk the Line” told the story of the events of Cash’s life and the incredible struggles and triumphs of his life. Ring of Fire gives the music the spotlight, as a core group of talented actor/musicians celebrate the songs that are such a part of our collective experience.”
Roles:
All roles and understudies are cast at this time. Seeking future replacements only. All performers sing and play instruments exceptionally well.

“A classic Southern love story. Maytag Virgin follows Alabama school teacher Lizzy Nash and her new neighbor Jack Key over the year following the tragic death of Lizzy’s husband. The play explores the ideas of inertia and self-enlightenment and the bridge between the two.”

ELIZABETH LIZZY NASH (She/Her/Hers, 30s-40s)– Southern (Alabama), accent encouraged. Endearingly neurotic. Strong-willed. Quick-witted and bold. High school English teacher. Role is cast. Seeking future replacements only.
JACK KEY (He/Him/His, 30s-40s)– Southern (Alabama), accent encouraged. Nearly unflappable, even keeled. A man of character. High school physics teacher. Think: young Denzel Washington, young Richard Gere, young Dennis Quaid.

“This riveting mystery comedy will keep audiences guessing as they go on location to an isolated island off the Gulf coast to watch power hungry producer director Hamilton Orr lure his timid screenwriter Clark into a scheme to get rid of the insufferable star of their multi-million dollar film. The plot hinges on the rehearsal of a suicide scene and the only witness to the murder is Hamilton's wife Barbara, the film's quirky publicist and Clark's former lover. The wily, eccentric sheriff unearths one surprise after another until the final stunning revelation.”
Roles:
HAMILTON ORR (He/Him/His, 40s-50s)– A Hollywood producer and film director. Ambitious and resourceful. Hamilton will do whatever it takes to have things go his way. Think: Robert DeNiro, Javier Bardem, Denzel Washington.
BARBARA ORR (She/Her/Hers, 40s)– A publicist and Hamilton’s wife. Elegant and bit eccentric. Tends to use rambling metaphors. An equal and worthy opponent to Hamilton. Think: Eva Longoria, Reese Witherspoon, Tracee Ellis Ross.
CLARK ROBINSON (He/Him/His, 20s-30s)– A screenwriter. High strung, a bit jittery. Clark is looking for the recognition his writing deserves. Think: Rami Malek, Kevin Hart, Simon Helberg, a young Rick Moranis.
DEREK COBURN (He/Him/His, 20s-30s)– A film actor. “Very tan, very loud.” A bit seedy, boisterous. Derek is more perceptive than he lets on. Think: Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, Michael B. Jordan.
LEROY P. LUMPKIN (He/Him/His, 40s-50s)– The local sheriff. A southern, small-town man that doesn’t quite understand the ways of the big city. Intimidating, yet big and lumbering. Slow, Mississippi dialect. Think: John Goodman, Jeff Garlin, young James Earl Jones.
