MARY BENNET
19. Young lady of deep reflection, reads great books & makes extracts. Having, in consequence of being the only plain one in the family, worked hard for knowledge & accomplishments, was always impatient for display. Had neither genius nor taste. Though vanity had given her application, it had given her likewise a pedantic air & conceited manner. Soprano/belt.

CATHERINE (KITTY) BENNET
17. Weak-spirited, irritable, completely under Lydia’s guidance. Was ignorant, idle, vain. Somewhat silly & fretful, though of a more governing temper than Lydia. Soprano/belt.

LYDIA BENNET

Mr. Bingley’s sister. Handsome woman with air of decided fashion. Very fine lady, not deficient in good humor when pleased, nor in the power of being agreeable where she chose it; but proud and conceited. In every respect entitled to think well of herself & meanly of others. Soprano.

WILLIAM COLLINS
25. The Bennets’ recently ordained cousin. Tall, heavy looking man. Not a sensible man. His air was grave & stately, & his manners were very formal. Mixture of pride & obsequiousness, self-importance & humility. Tenor.

GEORGE WICKHAM
Newly commissioned lieutenant in the militia. Young man of most gentlemanlike appearance. All the best part of beauty – fine countenance, good figure & very pleasing address. Bari-tenor.

LADY CATHERINE DE BOURGH
Mr. Collins’ patroness; Mr. Darcy’s aunt. Tall, large woman with strongly-marked features, which might once have been handsome. Whatever she said was spoken in so authoritative a tone as marked her self-importance. Not used to have her judgment controverted.

ANNE DE BOURGH
Her daughter. Thin and small. Pale and sickly; her features, though not plain, were insignificant; she spoke very little with a low voice.

MR. GARDINER
Mrs. Bennet’s brother. Sensible, gentlemanlike man, greatly superior to his sister, as well by nature as education. His manners were easy & pleasant. Baritone.

MRS. GARDINER
His wife. Amiable, intelligent, elegant woman; great favorite with her nieces. Between the two eldest & herself especially, there subsisted a very particular regard.

GEORGIANA DARCY
16. Mr. Darcy’s sister. Tall, womanly, graceful. Has a sense & good humour in her face, & her manners were perfectly unassuming and gentle.
