Equity dancers for FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING (See breakdown). We will be casting for potential Full-Time and Sub/Casual-Temporary positions. Join the inhabitants of the Pride Lands for this African-inspired celebration of The Lion King featuring songs from the film! This original musical theatre production is performed live in the Harambe Theater, a state-of-the-art, indoor, 1500-seat theatre-in-the-round in Disney's Animal Kingdom®, at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.

Potential in-person callbacks will be held January 11th, 2025, in New York, NY, and January 15th, 2025, in Orlando, FL. Candidates must be available for one of the in-person calls to be considered. Candidates who are invited to the callback will be contacted by December 12th, 2024. Potential rehearsals are early March 2025.

These characters are confident in themselves as individuals, their relationships with each other, and the rest of the inhabitants of the Pride Lands. Their passion for entertaining and sharing the Lion King story and culture with their audience drives their performances. We encourage BIPOC dancers to submit.
Maji – She is an ethereal and curious bird with a spirited nature. This role possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills and be comfortable performing aerial routines that involve flying at high altitudes.
Moto – Displays a strong physical presence, but he also expresses a tender and gentle persona when dancing with Maji. Possesses excellent ballet technique with solid partnering skills. This character performs extensive overhead lifts. For safety purposes, upper body strength is essential to perform this role.
