MOLLY
(Female, Late 30’s-Early 40’s) Hyper-articulate, highly intelligent, witty, attractive public relations manager for CNN in Washington D.C. Divorced and unattached, she is still deeply romantic. She longs to recover the innocence of that beautiful summer at Bethany Beach when she was 15.
RAY
(Male, Late 30’s- Early 40’s) Ruggedly handsome, physically fit—haunted by a past he cannot explain; including prison time for failing to stop a crime. He is in the process of rehabilitating himself. He grew up wanting to be a heart surgeon but now works as a caretaker/landscaper of homes at Bethany Beach, where one summer he experienced his first love. A tightly coiled soul who secretly yearns for a new life.
