THE DROWSY CHAPERONE: Man in Chair - (cast)
Mrs. Tottendale - (45-60) the air-headed, wealthy and bubbly hostess of the wedding. Alto character voice (G3-Db5)
Underling - (50s-60s) Mrs. Tottendale's unflappable and dry-humored butler. Tenor character voice (Ab2-G4)
Robert Martin - (30-40) the groom-to-be, deeply in love with Janet, dashing and cheerful. Must tap dance and roller skate. Tenor (C3-Ab4)
George - (30s-40s) Robert's anxious but loyal best man. Must tap. Tenor (F3-Bb4)
Mr. Feldzeig - (40s-50s) harried producer who will do anything to stop the wedding in order to keep Janet in the Follies. Baritone (Db3-Db4) Kitty - (30s) 1920's dumb blonde chorine who will do anything to be a leading lady. Soprano comic belt (Bb3-F5)
Gangsters 1 & 2 - (30s-40s) two jovial gangsters posing as pastry chefs. Good comic timing and dancing skills. Tenor (Db3-Gb4)
Adolpho - (40s) Latin lothario impressed with himself. Vaudeville-style acting with great comic timing. Bass/Baritone + great falsetto (A#2-G4)
Janet Van de Graaf - (30s) star of Feldzeig's Follies, conflicted about her upcoming marriage. Attractive and vivacious. Loves being the center of attention. Strong movement and special skills (acrobatics, juggling, etc.) a plus. Alto with big belt )G3-E5)
The Drowsy Chaperone - (40s-50s) Janet's alcoholic confidante. Care-free woman of the world and a gleeful, melodramatic diva. Alto with strong belt (F3-D5)
Trix the Aviatrix - (35-50) the brave and brash female aviator, sassy and sleek. May double in ensemble. Alto (Ab3-Eb5)

LIVING ON LOVE:
Bruce and Eric - strict and loyal nearly identical servants and ex-opera singers. Need to sing together - Largo al factotum from THE BARBER OF SEVILLE, Aranci, Datteri from LA BOHEME, votre Toast from CARMEN and Makin' Whoopee.
