N/A is a whip-smart battle of wills — and wits — between N, the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, and A, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. Inspired by real people and events, this riveting two-hander illuminates the person whom many consider the most powerful woman in American history… and the once-in-a-generation political talent who defied her.
N: She/Her, White, 60-80. The Democratic Leader, and later, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Has been in the politics game for many years and confidently navigates through it. Plays by the rules and gets things done. Wants change in the country but at her own pace.
A: She/Her, Latina, 25-35. A recently-elected Latina Congresswoman. Young, bold, and inexperienced in the complex dynamics of DC. Has big plans for change in this country and is eager to get started.

It’s 2004. LeBron James was just the hero Cleveland needed. Two strangers eat, sleep, and dream in the language of basketball while forging a deep bond over their worship of the “King” - one of the greatest NBA players of all time. From Pulitzer Prize-finalist Rajiv Joseph this wonderfully funny and remarkably moving new play explores the power of friendship and brotherhood in modern fandom.
SHAWN: Black, ages 21, 27, 31, and 33. A bit reserved, but confident in himself. A writer. A hardcore basketball fan. A guy who thinks before he talks. But he always has an opinion, even if he doesn’t wear it on his sleeve. Quietly ambitious.
MATT: White, ages 21, 27, 31, and 33. A slightly messy guy who, somewhat incongruously, works in a wine bar. A hardcore basketball fan. A guy who talks before he thinks. Funny, a bit quirky, with a kind of restless energy. Emotional and talkative.

A liberal synagogue hosts its annual Yom Kippur service, and, after protesting the presence of police at their place of worship, a few of its BIPOC members take it upon themselves to guard the synagogue on the holiest day of the year. They find themselves connecting with each other in unexpected ways, unearthing common feelings of otherness and differences in their individual relationships to their faith. The Yom Kippur Play is a loving inquiry into the Jewish perspective(s) on the struggle for liberation and what it means to be Jewish in today's world.
JONAH: He/Him, Black, 25, started coming to the synagogue two years ago. Rebellious, deeply sensitive, feels like an outsider. Has a lifelong commitment to Judaism but is relatively new to this town and community.
SAHAR: She/Her, Mizrahi, 28, director of the religious school, grew up in the synagogue. Independent, open-minded, loyal.
GRACE: She/Her, Any race (except white), 74, started coming to the synagogue fifteen years ago, converted six years ago. First-generation American. Kind, funny, empathetic, and matter-of-fact.
RAJ: He/Him, Indian-American, 42, started coming to the synagogue eleven years ago, converted six years ago for his husband. Confident but a bit abrasive, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Wants the best for his son who attends the religious school.
MOHAMED: He/Him, Black, 68, Muslim, the synagogue’s longtime custodian. He speaks with an accent, but no one knows where he’s originally from. Warm and hardworking, though he remains guarded with the synagogue’s constituents.

Comedian. Trailblazer. Force of nature. From Greenwich Village nightclubs to “The Tonight Show” to Hollywood’s red carpets, Joan Rivers made and remade her career through triumph and tragedy. This is the story of a pioneer and the story of a mom — who were one and the same. Get up close and personal with the famously edgy, fearless and loving legend in this hilarious and heartbreaking account of an American icon.
MELISSA/YOUNG JOAN: She/Her, 20-40. Jewish. Any Ethnicity. Melissa Rivers (smart, down-to-earth, grew up in the shadow of her famous mother) and a Young Joan Rivers, before becoming the famous comic we know today (bold, cheeky, lacks a filter, wants to break out of the typical housewife mold her mother has in mind for her).
JOAN/MRS. MOLINSKY: She/Her, 40-60. Jewish. Any Ethnicity. The Joan Rivers we know and love (confident, clever, driven and a little dirty). Killer sense of humor, a true force. And her mother (funny, straight shooter, Jewish New York housewife).
DR. MOLINSKY/EDGAR ROSENBERG/JOHNNY CARSON/OTHERS: He/Him, 30-50. Any Ethnicity. Versatile, doubles as multiple roles including Joan’s late husband/producer Edgar and comedian Johnny Carson among others.
JIMMY/BLAKE/HAROLD/CHET/OTHERS: He/Him, 20-40. Any Ethnicity. Versatile, comedic. Strong character, doubles as multiple roles.
