SYNOPSIS

BESTIE ISLAND is a new original synth-pop musical. The filming of reality competition show Bestie Island is supposed to be a Bahamian week of sloshed confessionals and catty challenges in a tropical paradise — until a contestant goes missing. Jamie, a desperate-for-cash young mother, quickly gets swept up in the chaos and before she knows it...she’s an unwitting accomplice to a string of crimes. Packed with Easter eggs from The Bachelor and The Real Housewives, BESTIE ISLAND feels like Kim Petras, Slayyyter, MUNA, and Carly Rae Jepsen collided with Little Shop of Horrors and then spilled all over the wildest corners of your Instagram nightmares.

ALICIA (Wealthy Wives of Los Angeles) - Queen bee a la Kyle Richards, most followers of Wealthy Wives cast. Online: home essentials. Alicia’s chilling god complex is slowly revealed.

JAMIE (Lovestruck) - Twenty-four. When she eventually goes back online, she’s a “relatable” single mom-fluencer. Jamie joins Alicia in “disappearing” Besties and transforms into what she despised before - a ruthless clout-chaser.

TIFFANY (Lovestruck) / Follower 7 - Hannah Brown-esque Southern pageant queen. Online: skincare. Survives the “disappearances” until the very end. Doubles as Follower 7.

JILLIAN (Lovestruck) / Follower 5 - Younger Sonja Morgan with a drinking problem. Online: celebrity MUA. Doubles as Follower 5.

VICKY (Wealthy Wives of Scottsdale) - Cool and cold a la Dr. Nicole, with a complicated love life. Online: travel/lifestyle. Vicky becomes the show’s voice of reason.

TAYLOR / Follower 2 - Field producer of Bestie Island. Runs this set like the Navy and harbors deep feelings for their boss, Matt. Doubles as Becca P, JJ, and Follower 2.

MATT / Follower 3 - Jeff Probst meets Andy Cohen, the executive producer of Bestie Island. Matt executes the genre-defying show, but is unaware that Alicia “disappearances” are something much darker. Doubles as JJ’s Mom and Follower 3.

BLAIRE (Wealthy Wives of NYC) / Follower 6 - The Bethenny Frankel business bitch. Online: CEO and business advice. It is revealed that her ex is Vicky’s new lover. Doubles as Follower 6.
