SOPHIE CARILLO/LIZ CAVANAUGH - Female, Hispanic, 20s-40s, Sophie Carillo - Starts the play as a young woman in her 20s and then the same character later in her 70s, a down to earth dreamer. Liz Cavanaugh - Anglo, 30s. Speaks both Spanish and English. Does not need to be fluent in Spanish.
SANTIAGO RAMIREZ/MR. CAVANAUGH/FATHER PAUL AQUINO - Male, Hispanic, 20s-40s, Santiago Ramirez - 20s, brother of Salvador, he is a romantic ranch hand turned soldier. Mr. Cavanaugh - Anglo, ranch owner, 70. Father Paul Aquino - Filipino, Catholic Priest, 30s. Speaks both Spanish and English. Does not need to be fluent in Spanish.
