We're Gonna Be Okay

First Rehearsal: Tuesday 1/2/18; First Preview: 1/25/18; Opening: Monday 1/29/18; Closing: Sunday 3/4/18

Leena, any ethnicity, 30's - 40's, The hostess with the mostess! She lives with a certainty that she can handle what comes her way and she is generous enough to share what she's learned with anybody who comes in contact with her. A assertively positive person.

Efran, any ethnicity, A middle?class guy around the same age as his wife, Leena. He’s a fast talker. The kind of guy who holds everyone hostage with his talk, and is in real need of being “liked” so he over does it.

Mag, any ethnicity, 30's - 40's, She's not soft spoken as much as she is awkward. She is easily startled- she's shy in the sense that she doesn't have a lot of practice hanging out at other people's houses. She doesn't excel at small talk- but that does not make her a shrinking violet- just a little tone deaf when it comes to social situations.

Sul, any ethnicity, A working?class guy around the same age as his wife, Mag. Sul’s a quiet guy, but an extremely thoughtful one. He see’s Efran as the kind of guy he’d like to be, but even when he imitates him, it’s never quite right.

Deanna, 16, any ethnicity, Mag and Sul’s daughter. She’s feminine but a little rock and roll masculine. Like a 60’s lesbian Joan Jett. Slightly apathetic appearing, but it’s because she see’s a lot she also see’s the idiocy of it all.

Jake, 16, any ethnicity, Leena and Efran’s son, like Deanna he’s also around 16. Less mature than Deanna, he’s got that All-¬?American boy thing going for him. He’s energetic and full of vigor, but he’s more than he seems at first.

Valerie, Any Ethnicity, 53. Oh so terribly New England. Direct to the point of being blunt.

Lila, Half Latinx, 28. A young woman living two lives. One of them of the mysterious, rebellious, intellect. The other is clean-cut and a people pleaser.

Mario, White, 29. A regular guy from Boston. Honest and loyal. He's an excellent boyfriend...until he's not.
