Alpine Theatre Project runs in rep with a core company of actors who do all three shows. The 2018 shows are Smokey Joe's Café, Matilda, and Fully Committed.

BREAKDOWN
Fully Committed begins rehearsal June 5. Smokey Joe's Café and Matilda will rehearse simultaneously and begin rehearsal June 9, 2018. Smokey Joe's Café opens July 5, Fully Committed July 6, and Matilda July 7. The season closes July 22.

SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ:
Seeking:
Ken (Baritone) (20s-40s) the smoothie who, along with Victor, Adrian, and Fred, makes up a quartet modeled on The Drifters. Must learn and execute harmonies quickly and very well. Looking for someone who dances very well. Advanced Ballet training preferred. (Poison Ivy, Spanish Harlem)
Adrian (Tenor) (20s-40s) the slow one of the quartet. Must learn and execute harmonies quickly and very well. Must move very well. (Young Blood, Stand By Me)
Frederick (Bass) (20s-40s)- the implacable bass of the quartet. Must learn and execute harmonies quickly and very well. Must move very well. (Little Egypt, Charlie Brown)
Victor (Tenor)(20s-40s) the preening bad-boy who gets most of the comedy. Must learn and execute harmonies quickly and very well. Must move very well. Must have great vocal range with very strong high range. (I who have nothing)
Michael (Tenor)(20s-30s)genuinely suave and impressive, evokes the memory of Elvis. Must move well. (Kansas City)
Brenda (Belt) (20s-30s) - a combination of savvy, wit, brains and beauty. Must be a great dancer with strong vocals. (Don Juan)
B.J. (High Belter) (20s-50s)- inspired by the titanic rhythm and blues shouter Big Mama Thornton. Lots of personality and a huge, soulful, high belt. (Fools Fall in Love)
Pattie (Rock Belt)(20s-40s)- the throaty voice of experience. (I keep forgetting)
DeLee (high belt) (20s-30s)- suggests the innocence of teenage girls, but with a wild streak. Must be a great dancer with strong vocals. (Falling)

MATILDA:
Seeking:
MISS HONEY (Female) A mild, quiet person who never raises her voice and seldom seems to smile - yet possesses the rare gift of being adored by every small child under her care. She should have a curious warmth that is almost tangible. Age 25 to 35 years old. Physicality slim and fragile that if she fell over she would smash into a thousand pieces like a porcelain figure. Vocal Soprano up to Bb, with a strong and solid belt up to D. Lyrical pure sounding voice. Could even have a slightly folksy quality
MR WORMWOOD (Male) A dealer in second-hand cars - a mean crooked crook - with a penchant for wearing jackets with large, brightly coloured checks. Should ideally be a clown and could have an ex-punkish rocker voice. Age 35 to early 40s. Physicality A weasley or ratty essence. Needs to be agile.
MRS WORMWOOD (Female) Mother of Michael and Matilda, and the wife of Mr Wormwood. She is obsessed with her amateur Ballroom dancing partner and her looks. Like her husband she thinks very little of Matilda’s unique abilities and often berates her. She is as loud in her makeup and dress sense as she is in her voice – must have strong comedy. Age 30s. Physicality Above 5’ 8” preferred Vocal Really strong belt voice, with matching vocal stamina. Up to top F/G – with higher ad libs. Dance Strong understanding of movement
