SEEKING

Actors for 6 roles. ACCURATE IRISH ACCENT REQUIRED.
Alone it stands features six actors playing multiple characters. The key abilities are an ability to move well, core strength and a facility with accents and dialect. The play tells the story of a famous Irish rugby match in 1978. It is a comedy and we stage key scenes from the rugby match during the play.

Prepare one modern Irish monologue sample something showing ability to do multiple accents ACCURATE IRISH ACCENT REQUIRED. Bring picture and resume.

- Gerry: 5’7” (Mid Twenties). Main character Gerry working class limerick man, early twenties unemployed
- Seamus Dennison: Small brilliant, modest but fiercely determined rugby player . Tipperary accent.
- BJ Robertson Best player on NZ All Blacks team. Proud. New Zealand Accent.

Male 2:
- Spider 5’ 7” Preferable Red Haired . Spider 12 year old working class limerick boy.
- Tom Kiernan Munster Coach Rural Cork Middle Class.
- Graham Mourie New Zealand All Blacks Captain

Male 3:
Twenties
- Tony Ward 5’6”. Tony Ward Munster out half. Middle class Dublin accent. (20’s)
- Russ Thomas NZ All Blacks Coach (40’s)
- Monica 12 year old Limerick Girl.
- Referee ( Welsh)

Male 4:
- Stu Wilson (6’4). New Zealand Star player (20’s)
- Irish Nurse
- Ferret (12 yr old Irish Working class)

Female 1:
- Mary 5’5” (or under slight build). Mary working class Limerick woman Pregnant with twins
- Moss Keane Munster 2nd row
- Gary Knight NZ All black prop (these are the two biggest rugby players on the pitch) Tall all black fan.

Male 5:
- Lanky (6’5 ). Gerry’s best friend. Limerick working class.
- Donal Canniffe Munster Captain . Cork middle class.
- Rodney Upper Class Cork.
