AFTER MIDNIGHT
SYNOPSIS:
After Midnight celebrates Duke Ellington’s years at the famed Cotton Club during the Harlem Renaissance. Combining the big-band songs of Duke Ellington, Jimmy McHugh, Dorothy Fields and Harold Arlen, this musical revue is framed by the poetry of Langston Hughes.
LADY – This character is Black, Female Presenting. Our star singer, classy and sophisticated.
EMCEE – This character is Black, Male Presenting. Our host, elegant and dazzling.
SASSY – This character is Black, Female Presenting. Our blues singer, a formidable presence, strong dancer.
