TRACK 1 - THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST. (40-50) THESEUS: Duke of Athens, engaged to Hippolyta. A man who is used to getting what he wants. Commanding, charismatic, and authoritative. Comes from paternalistic ways of thinking and ruling. OBERON: King of the Fairies, husband to Titania. Majestic, mercurial, powerful, and occasionally vindictive.

TRACK 2 - THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST. (35) HIPPOLYTA: Queen of the Amazons, engaged to Theseus; powerful, stoic, and sharp, not to be messed with. TITANIA: Queen of the Fairies, married to Oberon. Powerful, majestic, resolute. A comfortable sense of authority, a great sense of joy.

TRACK 3 - (20s) HELENA: A young woman of Athens, in love with Demetrius. Insecure, but has a sense of humor about it. Thoughtful and determined. SNUG: Joiner. Amateur actor. FAIRY. Attendant to Titania. Musicians encouraged to audition.

TRACK 4 - (20s) HERMIA: A young woman of Athens, in love with Lysander. Egeus's daughter. Romantic, idealistic, bold. Used to getting what she wants and willing to take matters into her own hands. SNOUT: Tinker. Amateur actor. FAIRY. Attendant to Titania. Musicians encouraged to audition.

TRACK 5 - (20s) DEMETRIUS: A young man of Athens, in pursuit of Hermia; obstinate, intense and unyielding, with a sense of entitlement, cruel at times but not totally heartless. FLUTE: Bellows-mender. Amateur actor. FAIRY. Attendant to Titania. Musicians encouraged to audition.

TRACK 6 - (20s) LYSANDER: A young man of Athens, in love with Hermia; Romantic, bold, charming, impulsive, confident, passionate and loyal. PETER QUINCE: A carpenter. Director of the mechanicals’ play. FAIRY. Attendant to Titania. Musician.

TRACK 7 - THIS ROLE IS ALREADY CAST. (25-45) ROBIN GOODFELLOW: A puck, or hobgoblin, Oberon’s henchman; a mischievous sprite. Good-humored, a prankster. PHILOSTRATE: Master of revels at Theseus’s court. Musician.

TRACK 8 - (30s-50s) NICK BOTTOM: A weaver and amateur actor. Swaggering, overconfident, impulsive, enthusiastic, and domineering at times. A consummate artist at heart. EGEUS: Father to Hermia, protective, controlling, stubborn, prone to anger. Musicians encouraged to audition.
