Danger Lurks in Broad Daylight as Teatro Live revives Lemoine’s Witchy Comedy: The Noon Witch!
Rooted in Hungarian folklore, a cast of sparkling newcomers inhabit this tale of 1920s Budapest lads who find themselves in the thrall of a snack-wielding temptress who only appears at the apex of the day. It’s a spirited jaunt from an elegant city park to the mysterious thermal springs of Transdanubia.
Making their company debuts in this production are Aidan Laudersmith and Eli Yaschuk as Anatol and Joszef, a pair of park bench philosophers, Ethan Lang as their besotted friend Sandor, and Nida Vanderham as the alluring and possibly lethal Tinka. Rounding out the cast is Michelle Diaz, making an overdue Teatro return as the enterprising phenomenologist Dr. Katalin Vac.
