Teatro Live! is preparing to launch the first ever revival of Everybody Goes to Mitzi’s, an original musical comedy, created by a quartet of Teatro’s brightest young stars in 2009, and now returning with one of the company’s best loved leading ladies. Andrea House headlines this uproarious tribute to the Edmonton supper club scene of the 1960s, with book by Jocelyn Ahlf and Andrew Macdonald-Smith, lyrics by Farren Timoteo, and musical score by Ryan Sigurdson. It’s the golden age of dining and dancing in Alberta’s capital, and while The Embers, The Sahara, and The Beachcomber are all big… EVERYBODY goes to Mitzi’s.

A Teatro mainstay for over three decades, Andrea House steps into the role of wiseacre chanteuse and restaurant proprietor Mitzi Duparr, leading a cast that’s otherwise comprised of fresh new Teatro faces, musical comedy experts all. Josh Travnik and Bella King are the oil and water singing servers Mitch and ‘Numbers’, with Mark Singonco as Mitzi’s bandleader and sometime paramour Jack Hayden, who has his head turned both by dreams of success on the Vegas strip and by winsome new vocalist Tippi Lala, played by Chariz Faulmino.

Directed be Kate Ryan, making her Teatro Live! directing debut, the creative team includes Musical Director Erik Mortimer; Choreographer Sarah Dowling; Set and Lighting Designer Daniela Masellis; Costume Designer Leona Brausen; Stage Manager Rachel Rudd.
