Center Stage Jackson is seeking artistic directors for its 2017-2018 Main Stage Season. The Main Stage Season will consist of two musicals at Jackson College and one dinner theater at the Sandhill Crane Vineyards:
My Fair Lady (Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, Music by Frederick Loewe). Based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady is a classic tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady. Six performances will be held November 3, 4, 5 & 10, 11, 12, 2017 at Jackson College's Potter Center in the Baughman Theatre.
The Odd Couple - Female Version (by Neil Simon). Unger and Madison are at it again--Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is! Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers, but the hilarity remains the same! Nine limited-seating dinner theater performances will be held February 16, 17, 18, February 23, 24, 25, and March 2, 3, 4, 2018 at the Sandhill Crane Vineyards.
The Drowsy Chaperone (Music and Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar). When a die hard theatre fan plays his favorite cast album, the characters come to life in this hilarious musical farce and winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Original Score. Six performances will be held June 8, 9, 10 & June 15, 16, 17, 2018 at Jackson College's Potter Center in the Baughman Theatre.
Anyone interested in directing should contact Katie Meyers (admin@centerstagejackson.org | (517) 539-4118) before May 30, 2017 for more information or to schedule an interview. Directing experience is not required.
