Christmas with The Rat Pack – Live at The Sands is an entertaining, nostalgic show that will put anyone in the holiday spirit.  Actors bring to life Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. with a big band backing them and sing the songs that they are known for as well as holiday favorites, which make the audience feel like they are back in Sands Hotel in Las Vegas seeing The Rat Pack perform in the 1960s.

Stephen Triffitt, Mark Adams, and Giles Terera are The Rat Pack and the three of them bring the beloved performers back to life in a believable and wonderful way. Each one embodies the three superstars so well that while watching the show it feels as though it is really The Rat Pack on stage. It is not just their singing that sounds like them, these three men move like them, talk like them, and have the rapport that Sinatra, Martin, and Davis had together on stage in real life.

The Rat Pack is joined on stage by the Burelli sisters and backed by a big band to sing their classic hits, alone and together, as well as memorable holiday songs. They perform in the typical Las Vegas show set up that the group had back in day with simple lights, some stairs, and large Christmas tree, but keeping the main focus of the show on the performers themselves. Triffit plays Sinatra and stands out during such numbers as "Come Fly With Me" and "The Christmas Song." Not only is Adams hilarious as Martin, he sings his songs beautifully and with a bit a comedy at times like in "Sam's Song," and "When You're Drinking." Terera dances just like Davis and is filled with his playful energy to go along with his great voice that entertains during such songs as "Mr. Bojangles," and "Jingle Bells."

Trifitt is Sinatra, Adams is Martin, and Terera is Davis. There was not one instance while on stage that they were anything else. The most interesting aspect about the three actors is that all of them are from England, but watching and hearing them, one would never be able to detect that because they do such an incredible job. The three actors do not just impersonate the well-loved performers of the past, they truly become them.

Christmas with The Rat Pack – Live at The Sands is a joy to experience because of the superb talents of the Triffit as Sinatra, Adams as Martin, and Terera as Davis. It can be enjoined by all ages because they perform songs that people either heard when they were released or grew up listening to. The show brings a bit of nostalgia back to the old Las Vegas type of cabaret performances when it was strictly about the performer, their singing, and their connection to the audience. It is also a happy show with a great holiday spirit that will put anyone in a good mood while getting him or her in a festive state of mind.

Christmas with The Rat Pack – Live at The Sands is a limited engagement currently running until December 2nd at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. For more information or tickets, visit www.OlympiaEntertainment.com.
