Lúnasa

Lúnasa is a collection of many of the top musical talents in Ireland. Its members have formed some of the influential Irish groups of the decade. The accomplished lineup features bassist Trevor Hutchinson (The Waterboys), Paul Meehan (Karan Casey Band, North Cregg), fiddler Sean Smyth, flutist Kevin Crawford (Moving Cloud), and piper Cillian Vallely of the famous Vallely artistic clan. Known for their engaging live performances, Lúnasa has toured and performed with the likes of Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Rosanne Cash, and Billy Bragg. Critically acclaimed as leaders in modern Irish music, Folk Roots magazine has described Lúnasa as an “Irish music dream team.”

The Magnetic Fields

Songwriter Stephin Merritt is known as "the Cole Porter of his generation" for his memorable melodies, lovelorn lyrics, and wry musical stylings. With his band The Magnetic Fields, Merritt has written, produced and recorded ten albums to date. The Magnetic Fields' 1999 album, 69 Love Songs, was a 3-disc masterwork which garnered Merritt widespread acclaim, including "best of" year-end lists in Spin, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, LA Times, and Washington Post.

David Cross

David Cross is an actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. During his illustrious career, Cross has played recurring roles on the TV programs Arrested Development and The Colbert Report, and won an Emmy Award for his contributions to The Ben Stiller Show. He has also starred in such films as Waiting for Guffman, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Bob Dylan fantasy I’m Not There (in which he portrayed Allen Ginsberg), and Kung Fu Panda.

27-year-old Seun Kuti, the son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, heads Egypt 80, the extraordinary combo first fronted by his renowned father. Touring in support of the new album From Africa With Fury: Rise, Kuti finding his own idiosyncratic voice as songwriter, singer, and band leader, its songs and sonic approach marked by provocative edge and mature self-assurance. The second full-length album, produced by Brian Eno, captures Seun and Egypt 80’s extraordinary power, fraught with the scorching rhythms and kinetic funk energy that has earned the band worldwide acclaim as one of today’s most incendiary live acts.
