The Coralville Center For The Performing Arts Announces March Events ImageThe Coralville Center for the Performing Arts is welcoming exciting talent for a variety of March events.

The schedule includes:

Regina Bands Concert (March 7, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.) Band students from Regina middle school and high school will perform a concert. Donations will be accepted at the door.

ICCSD KidSing Festival (March 8 at 4:00 p.m.) The ICCSD KidSing Festival will bring 5th and 6th grade students from across the district to participate in a singing festival. Students will gather for a day of singing and community building, culminating in a concert. Free.

Kick Ass Red Lipstick Burlesque Revue (March 10, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.) The women of Vitality Fitness and The Va Va Voom! will be performing along with special guests from Iowa to give you a unique, one of a kind, classic burlesque experience. Tickets are $28.

Saving Brinton (March 17 at 7:00 p.m.) a film screening presented by the Coralville Public Library Foundation. Join us for this documentary about a small-town Iowa collector who discovers the show reels of the man who first brought Moving Pictures to the Heartland. As a special treat, Mike Zahs will narrate some silent films from the Brinton Collection before the screening. After the screening the filmmakers and Zahs will take questions from the audience. Suggested $8 donation at the door.

Winnie the Pooh (March 23-24) presented by Young Footliters. Join all of your childhood friends - Christopher Robin, Kanga, Roo, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Owl, and of course the Bear of Very Little Brain himself, Pooh - and follow their adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood. Tickets are $10-$15.

The Barber of Seville (March 26 at 7:00 p.m.) presented by OPERA Iowa. A delightful opera performed in English that centers on "Figaro, Figaro, Figaro," the scheming barber on a quest to win Rosina. Disguises and false identities abound as men vie for the hand of the beautiful Rosina in one of the funniest operas ever composed! Over the past 31 years, the OPERA Iowa Educational Touring Troupe has performed in 10 states throughout the region and even in Japan and China, spreading the joy of opera to over 850,000 students and adults. OPERA Iowa is an Education Division program of Des Moines Metro Opera, which is located in Indianola, Iowa, just south of Des Moines. Tickets are $7-$15.
