January's featured story is "The Snow Queen." Once upon a time, the queen had a magic mirror. When the mirror shattered, it turned everything into a frozen wasteland. Can the Snow Queen's icy heart be thawed with the love of a child?
Friday Funday performances are held monthly, September-May. Upcoming stories include "The Mitten," Feb. 12; "Rapunzel," May 4; "The Brave Little Tailor," Apr. 8; and "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," May 13.
The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
