DM Playhouse to Host CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS Spring Break Workshop for Kids, 3/19-23

The Des Moines Community Playhouse is holding a spring break workshop for grades 1-2, Mar. 19-23. The workshop, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, is 9:00 AM-4:00 PM daily and is $230 with a discount for Playhouse season ticket holders.

Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow, but for now we predict windy conditions in Oz, snowy weather in Narnia and, this just in, it's cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Students will brave the elements to explore these and other stories through creative drama, role playing, and lots of hands-on activities. On Friday afternoon, students will attend a final dress rehearsal of The Playhouse Performance Academy's "Annie KIDS."

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
