It seems daughter Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love. Her boyfriend, Lucas, is bringing his parents to have dinner at the Addams abode, and she wants everyone to simply "act normal." Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, and the rest do their best to comply with her wishes...but they aren't exactly an average, ordinary family.
The show was written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with Tony-Award nominated music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, Big Fish). Many of the City Circle teens who brought us last summer's spectacular production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood have returned for this show, and Patrick DuLaney is back in the director's chair. He has double-cast all the major parts, so there will be two versions of the show to enjoy. He says, "It's been a singular joy to work with both these casts, watching them unlock their own versions of the crazy Addams Family dynamic. We're seeing two pretty distinct shows develop, and that is so exciting!"
