"Lord of the Flies" by William Golding is an allegorical novel, analyzing how society is directly affected by the actions and judgment of man. It follows a group of young, abandoned boys on a deserted island and their inner battle between good and evil.

The cast features Anthony Alvarado, Noah Anderson, Sam Billingsley, Mackenzie Cirksena, Aaron Coffey, Angel Falkstrom, Joshua Haldeman, Forrest LaPrade, Gary McCall, Jones Pfeifer, Danny Williams, and Roan Withers. Adolescent Anarchy production team members are Sam Bates-Norum and Halen Becker, co-directors; Connor Bredbeck, scenic designer; Madi Delk, costume designer/public relations; Tommy Anderson, properties designer; Claire Guderjahn, lighting designer; Meredith Toebben, composer/sound designer; Elsa Klein and Andrew Overton, stage managers; and Travis Reinders, videographer/documentarian.

Adolescent Anarchy is a newly-formed group of dedicated high school students with high standards and a great passion for theatre. Their mission: to build a foundation of involvement for teens in the theatre by giving them complete creative control to develop a fully-realized, successful production.

Adolescent Anarchy is breaking the boundaries of traditional theatre and innovating the way theatre is viewed and produced. Adolescent Anarchy members, with mentoring from Playhouse and area professional staff, are responsible for every aspect of production: script, cast, direction, scenic design, costume design, finances, promotion, and ticket sales.

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
