Boulder-based, Grammy-winning ensemble, Takács Quartet is hailed as “chamber music royalty” by Bachtrack and continues to move audiences with a compelling dynamic and supreme artistry. The evening program at LCC will include notable compositions for strings by Haydn, Schubert and Britten.
“One thing is certain about … the Takács Quartet: you will not hear a better string quartet playing anywhere in the world today. The technical perfection can almost be taken for granted, but there is also the warmth and affection of the performances, and the insight into the visionary slow movements,” – by Misha Donat, BBC Music Magazine
